Florence May 22, 2007 1:42:11 PM Entry ID: 1127775 | To Whom It Concerns: From 1988 till 1995 I managed and coached the Florence Cadets along with Rod Methvin. For several years there was no legion ball. In 1994 we won the State Championship and went on to place 3rd or 4th in the regionals in Gainsville Florida. There is very little about any of our players in the alumni section and no mention of the State Champions. We had several players with schlorships and severl drafted into the pros. For several years we had an oldtimers game with the present team as a fundraiser and participation was unbelievable. The gate was also large because of parents and wives. I just want our guys to get the recogniton that the deserve. Legion ball is the greatest. Thanks in advance and if I can supply this info to anyone please let me know. Greg Watson |
