Carson January 21, 2009 11:32:18 AM Entry ID: 1546950 | JUST AWESOME [U-12's}!!!...I've waited for a month or so...never came by to watch the practices, because I wanted to see first-hand how the Spartans are going to do this year...and I say this...YOU GUYS ARE THE 'REAL DEAL'. Last Saturday in the Fullerton tournament you boys displayed power, speed and poise. The thing I'm so proud of is this: You boyz displayed great 'sportsmanship' during the entire tournament, and you were all very focused on the task at hand. Also, there was great teamwork, the veteran players helping the new players, and the new players respecting our veteran player--and that's what's going to make you SPARTANS a great team. Respect one another, help one another, and above all--respect your coaches. You boyz do those things--whether you win another game or tournament or not--you truly are champions in the hearts of your parents and all your fans around the world who witness how you play this great game. I met David and his coaching staff in Carlsbad when we had a friendly match against a Canadian team. While we were taking our team photos we got a chance to watch your boys play. I must admit that it felt really good to see my fellow Islanders teach the youth "our national sport". Your team is very professional and organized. The family atmosphere that you provide for your boys really touched my heart. Our boys started cheering for your team and it really motivated them for our match (we won 35-12). Keep up the great work and best of luck next year!! God Bless. I will be putting in an order for your Spartan gear to wear during our playoffs!! |

We were all impressed by the way things were done professionally, and we were equally excited for all of our SPARTAN PLAYERS!! Thank you so much for a great first season--Coach Edgar said it right when he said Friday night--"that the SPARTANS are now KNOWN throughout SoCal Youth Rugby". And of course, that is a tribute to all you coaches [Edgar, Heni, David,& Lira]--thanks again! So let's do it again next year--Special thank you's to Mona, Kathy and Joleen--awesome job ladies. Oh btw--for everyone's info--the great and awesome DVD of our SPARTANS SEASON that we saw Friday night--was put together by our own SISTER LEILUA ANESI--thank you Lua and Manalei productions. FANTASTIC JOB thru out the season, our BOYS have grown to play the game flawlessly w/out hesitation! strength, speed, strategy were all center stage as we closed a GREAT season down in Carlsbad !!!..Thank you for the great times and memories!!..simply AWESOME this game of RUGBY...I AM A FAN!!!...also thanx to the SPARTAN BOARD, Pres.
