| Danny January 23, 2013 1:58:15 PM Entry ID: 2017316 | I was happy with our overall season at SMG. We had two downers during the season for the U12 team. The game against Ukranian we were totally out of sync, we let them run the pace of the game and fell apart in the second half. The other game we played bad in was vs. Valley which ended up winning the league with a 5-0-1 record. We had the lead most of the game and let them off the hook for a 5-5 tie. No doubt we win both games if we carried a full squad for this team. In the other division we played up to the U13 level again and played good. We played two tough teams really tight losing 6-4 to UGH which won the league going 5-1 and 2-0 to Upper Dublin which finished 4-1-1. Remember these teams are a year older than us and this is the toughest age to play up. We played physical and learned a lot over the last 6 months playing up 26 games. Now it's our turn to translate what we learned into wins. I'm ready and I know our team is ready to play the highest level soccer we can schedule. We'll start off in the DTS Invitational next month! |
