philadelphia September 25, 2012 9:14:08 AM Entry ID: 1991685 | Just wanted to write a few words of how good you guys have played on Sunday. The determination on alot of your faces to win this game, shows how much you guys are growing up and advancing to be great players. The key is communication and you guys did some of that this week, just want to say I am a proud dad to see and watch my son Zachary play on this team. |

Dawn September 24, 2012 9:31:08 AM Entry ID: 1991510 | Great win yesterday against Abington!!!! Keep your head up boys! Use this year as a learning/training year against these older teams. Most of these kids are 1 to 2 years older then you and almost a foot taller then you. Keep up the great work and stay positive!!!! |

Danny September 12, 2012 9:07:06 AM Entry ID: 1989750 | Week 1 winner for the football pool for $212.50 had 3 losses and 30 points. We had 5 people in the running up to the last game. The other pools all had 3 losses but tie breaker points of 38, 45, 47 & 48. Remember, closest points without going over. The game finished 22-14 for 36 points. |
Danny August 24, 2012 8:52:49 AM Entry ID: 1986021 | Ok, we had good and bad last night in our scrimmage against the Rangers. First we were shorthanded, missing 3 players. That made it tough on positions and subbing. Our team really seemed to tire at the end of the game. More running coming up. The things we need to work on are finishing (again), passing & movement (again), winning punts & sixes (again) and spreading the field. Not to mention getting more mentally tough and building up our stamina. The good things were our counter attack and our chances. Even after all of the negatives we were still in the game being down 2-1 after 65 minutes. We lost the last 5 minutes 2-0. Remember we are playing up a year against bigger and stronger teams but we will get better. |
Debbie Moore July 31, 2012 12:18:23 PM Entry ID: 1981380 | WOW Beach Blast then Sarah Parvin...between the boys playing their hearts out and having the best time with great friends, rain or shine, I couldn't ask for a better summer!! Can't wait to top it off with our annual pool party :) GO VIKINGS!! |
Dawn Devlin July 30, 2012 10:52:47 AM Entry ID: 1981216 | Sarah Parvin......Rain, Rain and more Rain. It was a hot but great day for the better part of the afternoon. The boys were winning their games, everyone was playing baggo, washers, can-jam and pass the ice cubes (lol). Then the clouds came rolling in at about 6:30 pm and it started to rain. I'm not talking about a drizzle, I'm talking monsoon-like downpours. Thunder, Lightening and Wind. People had to take cover. Then after about 45 minutes it stopped. Little did we know that it was only round 1 of the rain. Everyone started popping out of their tents, and we started playing games all over again like it never even rained. Then Round 2 came. It rained harder. Most of our tents were sitting in about 8 inches of water. Ughhhh. Some of us mothers packed up and went home. (yes I was one of them). I'm glad the team ended up staying because the boys played at 6:30am and at 9am and won the championship. They had the best record! Awesome job boys! |
Dawn Devlin July 24, 2012 9:51:53 AM Entry ID: 1980328 | Once again, the Vikings did not disappoint. As a team, I second what Coach Ryan said. You boys played awesome. Stinks that we had to split up the team, but we are a team and we won as a team. Great support from all families cheering each team on. It was great hanging out with everyone during the crazy weekend. Thanks to all you Isle of the Palms goers.....for taking us in. Kids had a great time too. Lets keep it going!!!! |
Ryan July 16, 2012 4:30:13 PM Entry ID: 1979244 | Congrats on winning beach blast boys! Over the first two beach blasts our record was 1-5, but this year between the two teams we finished 4-1-2, only one loss is pretty good. Overall everyone on both teams played great, I'd especially like to congratulate Owen on his games as keeper for his team including a tournament saving save with less than 1 minute left, only giving up 1 goal against bridesburg when down to 3 players, and a clean sheet and 3 assists in the final. Can't wait for the Quakertown tournament |
Danny June 11, 2012 8:49:44 AM Entry ID: 1974046 | Once again the Vikings brought the most help for Parkwood's clean up weekend. We did a lot of work to keep our facilities the best in the city. Special thanks to Debbie Moore, Dawn Devlin, Jackie Bauer, Krista Newhouse, Art Ward (2 days), Diane Ward, Joe Sacco, Andy Clark, Aimee Clark, AJ Clark, Austin Clark, Kristin Reheil & Madeline Byrne. |
Dawn Devlin June 5, 2012 3:52:44 PM Entry ID: 1973156 | Awesome Spring Season!!!! Lots of passing going on. The Applebees breakfast was a success. It was actually enjoyable watching you boys work so hard. I was very impressed. Looking forward to the Beach Blast, Sara Parvin Tournament and our Pool Party! Details to follow! |
Danny May 17, 2012 9:21:14 AM Entry ID: 1970597 | In our friendly match vs. Parkwood Celtic I was happy with most things. It was our first match in the 11 v 11 format. The field is much bigger and the boys had to cope with different positions. We are playing a 4-4-2 so we are adding 3 defenders (mids being defenders) from our usual 3-2-2 that we play for 8 v 8. When the game started you could see the confusion in the midfield play. We were backed up on our side of the fifty for a long time. We were able to get some rushes because Celtic had some problems with Zack's speed and play on the ball. Zack put a shot off of the post that could've put us up 1 nil. As the first half ended we did put some pressure on them but only had one nice buildup. The first half ended 1-0 Celtic. When the second half started we were again backed up but our defense and DJ played terrific. The effort defensively was really good, they never quit on a play. As the game was winding down we got our second wind and we were putting a lot of pressure on them. I think the running we do showed because Celtic seemed to tire. If we had 5 more minutes we could've tied it up. On the goal we scored Andrew fed a pass into the 6 to Brandon and Zack called for the ball which Brandon led nicely. Zack scored off the hands of the keeper. We had nice movement in the last 10 minutes of the game. Overall it was a great experience against a really good team like the Celtic which has been playing 11 v 11 for a year. |
Dawn Devlin May 14, 2012 8:52:46 AM Entry ID: 1970045 | Way to give us a win on Mothers Day boys! Started our day off right. |

Debbie Moore March 26, 2012 11:32:21 AM Entry ID: 1961818 | Great game yesterday Vikings! Keep up the good work. Best of luck for the Spring season! |
Diane Ward January 30, 2012 2:09:00 PM Entry ID: 1949925 | You played like winners until the very end....great indoor season, we will get them next time! |
Dawn Devlin Philadelphia January 30, 2012 12:03:16 PM Entry ID: 1949897 | Way to go Vikings! Co-Champions in the SMG Indoor League. And you were playing up a year, so that is a bigger achievement. You should be very proud of yourselves. You didn't back down to those older boys. Being down 3-2 with minutes left, posed no stress on you guys. You scored with 23 seconds on the clock. What a way to end the game. |
