The first practice was crazy because we had people from everywhere from Belle Glade to Royal Palm to PK all Palm Beach County students came together to do one thing train hard and get better at Track&Field I loved every minute of it. Now I am about to be a senior in college in the spring,and I look back at the fast lane family I encountered with over the year's ,friends I will never forget ,Events and people I competed with. Memories and morals I will forever cherish. I am so grateful God put me in the right place at the right time after my high school race so coach walker could recruit me to be apart of this great Journey of being part of the Fast Lane Family. I performed very good this 2012 season I Pr'd in the 60m, 800m, 400m 200m, Long Jump,of course relays and I got Coach's Award 2012, and our team won our Conference Carolina's. I've been a part of Fast Lane for almost 6 years now and it has been such a blessing to be a part of a team that's so loving. In Fast Lane we're all family and it's always comforting to know that i'll always have my team mates and my coaches to be there for me whenever i need them and vice versa. Coach Walker has been there for me since the beginning and i appreciate everything he's done for me and this team. He always checks up on me and calls me just to talk and it's great to have a relationship with that with your coach. I recently recovered from a knee injury and getting back to running at my best is difficult, but hey... it's hard but it's fair! I love my team and i can't wait to see what's in store for us next! |

I Got Injured My First Indoor Meet & Struggled With That Injury Thought Out my Season. I Failed At Making It To Any SEC Or National Championship Race. Dispite What Was Going On I Continued To Work Hard & Kept Faith.. I Ended My Season With Two Great Achievements. Winning The Penns Relays 4x100m Race & Becoming This First All-American Of Fast Lane Track Club Placing 3rd In The 4x100m Relay at The 2012 NCAA Outdoor Championships. |

It wasnt till the next year that I realized that was the biggest mistake I made. Since being in fast lane Coach Walker has taught me what it really takes to be the runner that I am and prepared me for my collegiate years immensely. I am now a graduate of Alabama State University, running all four years. Won various MVP titles and SWAC Championships and Im on my way to Colorado nextfor grad school. My advice to the upcoming fast lane fam....start early and really listen to Coach advice he's really there to help you and welcome to the tight niche fam we really do love each other and are a family away from fam! |

They have helped mold me into the person i am today and get me where i am. I am so blessed and grateful to have them and the fastlane family by my side as i am in college. I didn't even think i had the ability to attend a D1 college or even have a possibility of graduating from one. Being in college has shown me a lot and that if i want to succeed I have to get my head in school and stay focus. Through all of my struggles and road blocks the support from my family, coach walker and oscar, and my fastlane family has made this journey worth it. I was a soccer player who always wanted a soccer scholarship and never even thought about running College track. Then I got injured playing soccer my sophomore year and Coach Walker was in the emergency room that night telling me that everything would be OK. Now I just finished my Freshman year of college track. It didn't go exactly how I planned it. I had a few minor injuries here and there, but now I know what it will take to succeed on the Division one level next year. I choose my school more for the education than the quality of the team, and at this point I'm getting paid to go to school, receive an education, and run track representing the US ARMY. Track and Field has set me up to have a job doing something I want to do, and to be successful as an Army Officer. (( GO ARMY! BEAT NAVY!)) |

I'm delighted to announce that I've completed my undergrad successfully while receiving my Bachelor of Science degree. In addition, I broke two personal records in the 100m and triple-jump this past season although I encountered three hamstring injuries. I decided to rest this summer 2012 in order to recover and return in a healthy state when I begin training again in August. Although many of you put a lot of time on the track, you also need to put that same amount of time into your studies! Obtaining knowledge, your diploma & degrees is the best feeling and absolutely the greatest similar to achieving your goals and obtaining your medals on the track! Go forward! Work hard & be positive! Remember, the world owes you nothing because the world was here before you... Stay encouraged! I wish you all nothing but the best on your future endeavors! I can honestly say that Fast Lane track practice is what I look forward to every day at 5:30. Coach Walker is one of those coaches that you can call a friend or second father. He's always there for you no matter what the situation and he truly is there to help you succeed, whether it has to do with track or not.
