Penns Grove, NJ August 1, 2014 9:55:29 AM Entry ID: 2056463 | Coach Mike here: I first wish to say, Thank You to the Parents, Family and Friends who helped make this season a very special one. I knew on our very first practice this season, that this would be a special one. Often times people look at the talent on a team I deferrer a bit, and see the talent but look more into the possible character of the players. Our team chemistry as well as the team's character showed on our first practice. If anyone could have seen how these players started coming together on the first day of practice, you than would understand what I'm talking about. As we added players the character and chemistry became even stronger. Having to revamp basically a whole new team, (8 new players) they meshed very quickly, with the returning players. As the season played on and the players started learning a new style of play, it was fun watching them grow day by day. Yes I saw a few tears drop and smiles get even bigger. We had a lot of fun together and I hope they learned quite a bit of basketball, in a different style. I am so proud to be a part of this DM Panthers Organization, and having my best friend as my partner, it couldn't be any better. We totaled a record this season of 31-14, with at least 10 of those 14 losses being under 6 points. Looking back on last year's team, I am proud to say that all 6 of our graduating class of 2014, will be furthering their education in fields of their choice. Coach Donna and I try to make this a family type atmosphere, showing that we care, and not just about basketball. We truly love what we do and hope to continue it in the future. We are a non-profit organization that relies on donations for players whose finances wouldn't allow them to play AAU basketball without financial help. Donations are always welcome, and if you know of anyone willing to assist financially please contact myself or Coach Donna. |

To Coaches Donna & Mike - I thank you for all you have done for the girls who have come to play ball for the DM Panthers. When Kayla joined, we didn't have a clue what to expect. But this opportunity has been more than we could have ever expected!!! As grandparents, I want to thank you both for making us feel welcomed and a part of the organization. I am so very grateful that Kayla had the privilege of being a DM Panther! |

I thought we had a great season and the girls worked very hard and by the end of the season all their hard work paid off and we started winning games.
