Tournament Rules
5th Annual Fuel Students Basketball Tournament

Apparel Rules:

*Players must wear their team t-shirt or a t-shirt with the color of their team to play in the tournament.
*Players most wear tennis shoes at all times. Other footwear like: slides, crocs or sandals will not be allowed.
*Players most not wear any jewelry.

Game Rules:

*Every team consists of 6 or more players.
*This tournament is a full court 5 on 5 tournament and only 5 players from each team will be allowed during every game.
*Each game will consist of 2 halves of 6 minutes each, with the first 5 minutes always running with no stoppage and the last minute of every half being stopped on out of bounds, timeouts or fouls, there will be a 1 minute rest between half.
*Every game will end if a team passes 21 points or if the time runs out by playing 2 halves.
*Every player of each team should play at least one full half of a basketball game (6 minutes).
*Every team most have 1 girl ALWAYS playing at every single minute of every single game.
*Substitutions are allowed at any given time.
*The visiting team will always have possession of the ball to start the game, and the home team to start the 2nd half, there will be no tip-off.
*Male adults and Male students are allowed to guard each other thru out the game with no penalty. In the other hand NO male adults or students are allowed to guard a female outside the paint area (square below the basket), it will result in a foul or penalty. But if a female enters the paint area any defender is allowed to guard her.

Other Game & Playoff Rules:

*Playoff games will be played with the best 3 team records. The 2nd and 3rd place will play a semi-final game and the winner of that game will play the final game of the tournament against the team with the best record in the season.
*Playoff games will be played with a scoreboard and a timer. The game will consist of 2 halves, each of 6 minutes long with clock stoppage after 1 minute left at any out of bounds, timeout or fouls.
*Foul shots will be allowed only on playoff games after 1 minute left with 2 or more team fouls taken. The team fouled will take 2 free shots from the free throw line and if the second shot is made, the opposite team will have the possession of the ball.
*All other regular basketball rules such as, double dribble, traveling, backcourt violation, shot clock violation and others used in the NBA, NCAA and others, are legit to the tournament.
