This very young team started the year well. We won the Sheridan Hills Pre-Season Tournament and played well the first half of the season going 7-5 and losing several close games. Unfortunately we could not keep up the pace as our hitting could not keep up the pace. Our defense was well sub par all season as we committed 94 errors. We could not help our pitching. The team comprised of 5 8th graders and 6 Freshman among the 20 players. Edwin Marquez was a bright spot as he hit .463  with a .511 On Base Avg.. Kevin Abraham had a very good freshman season batting .365 with 5 HR's and 24 RBI's. Sam Noriega finished off his senior year batting .362 and Adelcio "Tito" Tejada also finished over .300 with a .329 batting average with 5 HR's. The team stuck together through the tough period at the end of the season and rallied to get one of the schools biggest victories to date by beating Doral Academy 10-9 in the District Quarterfinals.

The blue ball award is an award given to a player that makes an outstanding defensive play in a game. It's our way to recognize defensive achievements. A blue baseball will be handed to the player and the team will warmup the next in between inning with a blue ball. Good Luck to all!!!

- 2/18/10 vs. Lake Worth Christian- SAM NORIEGA made a strong throw from deep center field to nail the runner at home. What made the throw great is that he hit the cutoff man which could of cut the throw and throw out the baserunner going to second. Great job Sam!

- 2/23/10 vs. Mater Lakes Academy- CARLOS AQUINO playing 2B made a tremendous catch on a hard hit grounder up the middle and tossed to the SS for the out and kill the inning for the Bears. Great play Carlos!!!

-2/26/10 vs. Chaminade- With runners on first and second and one out first baseman CHRIS MEDINA dove for a line drive to his right and made a spectacular catch and ran to first and doubled up the runner to maintain the game in a 2-1 score. Great catch Chris!

- 4/10/10 vs. Trinity Christian- LUIS MERCADO playing third base dove to his left to grab a screaming one hopper and then threw from his knees to second to force out the runner at second base. Tremendous play Luis!
