About the Cougars
Subscribe to our NewsletterAscension Cougars Youth Football under Ascension Cougars Youth Sports Organization, Inc will sponsor tackle football and cheerleading for the youth in and around Gonzales, Louisiana. We are non-profit organizations that will begin play July 2008. The ages of the participants are 5 to 12 year old. We have four football teams classified by their ages; A-Team 12U, B-Team 10U, C-Team 8U and D-Team 6U. The Ascension Cougars are a member of Tri-Parish Youth Football League (TPYFL) which has teams in Ascension, Assumption, St. James and St. John Parishes. Games and practices are scheduled to be held at Gonzales Middle School.
Ascension Cougars Youth Sports Organization follow three factors; (1) instill discipline, (2) show sportsmanship to do the right thing on and off the field, and (3) develop community PRIDE (personal responsibility in daily excellence).
