LI Boys of Summer Perfect Game Collegiate League Rules and Regulations

 
Rule 1: College players must have college eligibility remaining to play in the BOS PGCL. High School seniors who have signed a commitment are eligible to play in the BOS PGCL as well.
 
Rule 2: All players must use wood bats (composite, crank handle, and bamboo bats are not allowed. Baum bats are allowed).
 
Rule 3: All coaches, players, and personnel entering the field must be in coaching attire. Coaches are permitted to wear Team Batting Practice tops, fleeces, and sweatshirts as well.
 
Rule 4: NO METAL SPIKES ARE TO BE WORN ON ANY TURF FIELDS, THIS INCLUDES PITCHERS

Rule 5: A coin flip will determine the home team for single games scheduled. For double headers, home team will be split.
 
Rule 6: Teams will split baseballs (low seam) for games.
 
Rule 7: Teams will have the option to use a Designated Hitter in the lineup.
 
Rule 8: Teams will have the option to use an Extra Hitter in the lineup.
 
Rule 9: Mercy Rule - 10 runs after 5 innings. Teams must have an equal number of at-bats through five innings.
 
Rule 10: Time Limit Rules – There will be a two-hour time limit on all games with following games scheduled. No new inning may begin after two hours from the start of the game. The time limit does not start until the first warm-up pitch is thrown. At that point, the umpires must notify both teams of the start time.
 
Rule 11: Mound visits – A pitcher must be removed on the second mound visit in an inning.
 
Rule 12: Pickoffs – The fake to third, throw to first pickoff move is legal in the BOS PGCL.
 
Rule 13: Ejections – Any ejection of a player will result in a one game suspension. The suspension will be served on the team’s next game played. The disciplinary committee will decide the length of the suspension.
 
Rule 14: League point system – Win = 3, Tie = 2, Loss = 1
 
Rule 15: League Website – All Managers must enter game results and team statistics on the BOS PGCL website by the end of the week.
 
Rule 16: Player of the Week – All nominations must be submitted to Gregg Sarra Jr and Al Martin by Monday at noon. A player will only be considered if their Team’s statistics are up to date on the BOS PGCL website.
 
Rule 17: Playoffs – All 12 teams will qualify for the playoffs. The playoffs will be single elimination until the finals. The finals will be the best of three series.
