In the summer of 2016 we formed a 10u team to play in a few summer tournaments. Going 0-4, it seemed like a failure of a summer. However, we did not quit. We retained a few players and built around them,, quickly jumping into the USABL for the fall 2016 season and officially forming the Cheesequake Indians. We went 0-10. The winter was full of indoor hard work, having players join us at 8 am every Saturday morning so they could get better. After 8 weeks of work, a handful of new players and some shiny new team helmets, we finished in first place in our division in the spring season. The incredible turn around is no doubt due to the unfathomable amount of hours of work our players have put in. We pride ourselves on playing hard, playing with class, and a commitment to learning to play the game the proper way. This program is designed for players who want to improve. Our goals are long term. We love winning games, however, our real goals are for our players to go on to succeed in high school baseball, go on to play at the collegiate level. This is about long term success.
