Hello parents and players, the League City Defenders will start hosting our tryouts in January. The dates will be January 25, February 1, and February 8. Girls will come in 5:00-6:30. Boys will come in 6:30-8:00.  Our goal in the League City Defenders organization is to help your kid get to the next level and help him make the school team next year. We work on skills, development, and confidence  We Hope to see everyone at tryouts! God bless you.

Basketball training will be offered to 7th grade girls, (any others by agreement), again this fall in the months of September & October. If your child is planning on trying out for her school team & would like to increase her chance of making the team, then this is the program you are looking for. It is catered to sharpening the skills that middle school coaches are looking for at try-outs. This eight week program is more intense than youth league programs such as the Y or Parks & Rec. The best news is the low cost of $15 per session. Basketball training easily cost $30 - $50 per hour. The location will be the Clear View HS gym, 400 S Walnut St., Webster, 77598. Weekday time is 6:00 - 7:30 & Sat time is 10:00 - 11:30. The dates are

Try-outs for the 2021 season are set for February 13, 20, & 27 at Upside Athletics, 1156 Fox Meadow, Alvin, Tx 77511. The time is tentatively set for girls at 4:30 & boys at 6:00 with a $15 try-out fee. We are looking for boys & girls ages 8th grade through varsity.  If you are looking for a good team & an exciting organization to join, then please sign up for a tryout & you will be contacted once tryout details are set. The season runs from March 1 - Aug 8. 

We are also looking for a few coaches for our anticipated growth. If you have basketball coaching experience or a coach willing to learn the ropes, then please fill out the Coaching Application & contact Coach Davis, (832-806-0003).

This week's tournament will be the Crossover Classic featuring two locations on opposite ends of Harris County. They are Crossover Athletics, 815 Summer Park Dr, Stafford 77477 & C E King HS & MS, 8540 CE King Parkway, Houston, 77044. The schedule should be out late Wednesday evening but as always, check it for updates Friday evening/Saturday morning. Other information will be posted as soon as it becomes available.

The mission of the League City Defenders is to provide a platform that will give local boys & girls the opportunity to develop strong athletic and leadership skills, and teach discipline, through positive influence in a competitive arena.
