Do the Howard Palmetto Aces play games that conflict with the regular Howard Palmetto Baseball Season? No. It is in the Rules and Procedures that the HP Aces do not play any games or practices in conflict with the regular Howard Palmetto Baseball Season. The Aces will have practices during the regular HPVSA Season.

Are the Howard Palmetto Aces, part of the Howard Palmetto Baseball Softball Association? Yes. The Howard Palmetto Aces are a separate Division within HPBSA. Only players of HPBSA are eligible to play for the HP Aces. The Rules and Procedures for the HP Aces are separate from the Rules of Howard Palmetto Baseball.

What age team should we try out for? The Howard Palmetto Aces, along with just about any Tournament Team, goes by an age eligibility date starting at May 1st. The easiest way to determine the age eligibility of a player is to input the birth date by going to USSSA's age calculator at: http://www.usssa.com/sports/AgeCalculator.asp?SportID=11
A player that wants to try out and be considered for an older team, should notify the Howard Palmetto Aces Commissioner. Exceptions may be considered based upon the needs of the respective HP Aces Team and the advanced level of play for the individual player. The older the players are, the less likely the players will be considered to play up.

What if a player wants to attend a scheduled try outs for an HP Aces Team, but has a Howard Palmetto Baseball Game with a conflicting time? When do the Howard Palmetto Aces play? The HP Aces will play in non conflicting Tournaments during the regular HPBSA Season. The Aces will play Tournaments and other Travel Leagues during the summer and Fall. The actual scheduling is an individual team decision based on the availability of the players, Manager and Coaches. Interested players should attend the try outs and learn more about the individual HP Aces Team objective.

Since the inception of the Howard Palmetto Aces, we have played in many tournaments in Florida. We send our 12U Team to Cooperstown every year. We have sent teams to the Ripken Tournaments in Myrtle Beach, and Tournaments at Disney in Orlando. We had HP Aces Teams at: 7U, 8U Coach Pitch, 8U Kid Pitch, 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U, 14U & 16U Alumni Team. Generally our Aces teams play the Summer in local Travel Team Leagues. Generally there are 12-15 players on a team. Some teams may consider additional players as alternates.
