Certified copy of birth certificate is required at 1st practice.

Age Divisions by birth year – 6U(20,21, 22), 8U(18-19),10U (16-17), 12U(14-15), 14U(12-13), 16U(10-11), 18U(08-09)

To Whom It May Concern,

My name is Nicole Johnson, President of LE Lightning Sports based in Little Elm, TX. LE Lightning is an independent non-profit 501c3 organization that have provided youth track & field for boys & girls ages 5-18, living in or around the Little Elm area (Frisco, Oak Point, Savannah, The Colony, McKinney, Plano, Carrollton, & Lewisville) since 2004.

Our goal is to provide these young athletes with competitive experiences and knowledge of Track & Field that will expand their physical growth and create a sense of self-worth for the rest of their lives. We are focused on developing youth athlete’s skill in running, strengthening, & conditioning. We are dedicated to teaching children to run with correct form, develop muscle tone, & build self-esteem. We have had over 20 of our athletes to receive track & field scholarships for college over the past 18 years to Georgia State University, Texas A&M University - Commerce, Boise State University, University of Texas –Tyler, Langston University, University of Central Arkansas, Fayetteville State University, & Rutgers University.

We compete on a regional & national level with the (TAAF) Texas Amateur Athletic Federation. We have won 1st – 8th place finishes in State Competition since 2004. In 2025, we had 10 athletes to compete in the State Games of Texas in College Station, TX, where 3 athletes won gold medals, 1 5th place, and 1 8th place. One athlete won the 50m and placed 5th in the 100m. 2 athletes won the Long Jump, all 3 qualified for Nationals. The Nationals are scheduled to take place at the State Games of America in State College, PA from July 28 to August 2, 2026. In 2024, 1 athlete competed in Nationals at the 2024 State Games of America in San Diego, CA on July 17-21, 2024, and won 3 Gold medals in the 100m, 200m, and Long Jump. 8 athletes qualified for the State Games of Texas in Brownsville, TX on July 25-28, 2024. 2 athletes won gold medals in Long Jump and one of them broke a 13-year State Record and placed 4th in 100m and 7th in 200m. 1 athlete placed 7th in 100m and 6th in the 200m. 6 athletes competed in the State Games of Texas in Brownsville, TX on July 27-30, 2023. In 2022, 22 athletes competed in the State Games of Texas in Corpus Christi, Texas on July 21-24 and 6 competed in Nationals at the 2022 State Games of America that was held in Des Moines, IA on July 27 - 31, 2022. We had 4 Lightning National Champions in 6 different events. Our Lightning National athletes won 8 Gold medals, 2 Silver medals, 2 Bronze medals, and 3 4th place, 1 5th place, and 1 8th place.

For us to provide a quality program, we must rely on the generous contributions received from individuals, community organizations, and businesses. Sponsorship is a great opportunity to give to our surrounding community and for the development of a child.

Please consider becoming a sponsor for our youth sports program. Your contribution will help fund sponsorships for children who cannot afford to pay and assist with the purchase of needed equipment and supplies needed for training and travel to different cities. Any donation or contribution qualifies as a tax deduction to a non-profit organization. We accept bottled water, Gatorade, or any items that will benefit our youth as a donation.
