11U Sweep SWS Tournament!!!

Entering the 2014 SWS 11U Tournament, the Naperville Diamonds had their work cut out for them. As the 5th seed out of 6 teams, the Diamonds knew it would take hard work and a contribution from every player to accomplish their goal of winning the conference tournament.

Opening against the 4th seed Morris Lady Warriors, the Diamonds put together a complete team effort winning 10-1. The next night, the Diamonds took on the Plainfield Edge Chaos, the top seed in the tournament, winning 7-0. With the championship game in sight, the Diamonds then defeated the 3rd seed Oswego Outlaws, winning 4-2, in a hard fought contest that saw the tying run left on second base to end the game. On championship game night, the Diamonds fell behind 8-1 but roared back to down the second-seeded Plainfield Twisters Lime Green, 11-10, in a game which saw the tying run left on third base to end the game. Congratulations 11U Diamonds – shine bright girls!
