Rick Torresani  Head Coach  2000 - 2021        387 career wins

Coach Torresani played fast pitch softball from his mid 20's to his late 30's before he started his coaching career.  He began his career as a fast pitch pitching instructor which included many players who went on to have great careers in high school and college.   Coach Torresani first coaching job was at Bishop McDevitt High School in Wyncote, Pa.  At Bishop McDevitt he took a program that had not reached the Philadelphia Catholic playoffs to their first playoff berth in school history.

In  2000 Coach Torresani became the head softball coach at North Penn High School.  Since 2000 the North Penn softball team has made the district one playoffs each year and has made the quarterfinals of those playoffs 18 of the 20 years.  North Penn  softball were in the district one finals in 2012, 2014and 2019 winning in 2012.  They reached the Pa. State tournament final 4 in 2013 and state quarterfinals in 2014, 2018 and 2019.

Coach Torresani has been lucky enough to help Head Coach Heather Boyer (Upper Dublin H.S.) and Ellie White (Abington H.S.) coach  the Philadelphia Phillies SOL/BAL Carpenter Cup Softball Team since 2009.  The SOL Carpenter Cup team finished in 2nd place in 2011 and won the Carpenter Cup in 2012 and 2019.  Coach Torresani has taken over the Head Coaching Position for the Carpenter Cup for 2020 and will work with Coach White and Coach Yee (Council Rock North Head Softball Coach).

Coach Torresani also coached high school basketball.  He was the head coach at Upper Dublin from 1995 to 2000 and the assistant head coach at Mount St. Joseph Academy from 2000 to 2001 and then the head coach from 2002 to 2005.

Coach Torresani was also honored in July 2000 by being elected into the Roslyn Post 248 American Legion Baseball Hall of Fame and in 2001 by AFLAC Insurance as one of their National Basketball Coaches of the Year.

Coach Mary Ward   Assistant  Varsity Softball Coach.   (7th year).

Coach Ward is a North Penn 2010 graduate playing both basketball and softball.  She was a 3 year starter for the NP softball team having served as Captain in her senior year.  Coach Ward attended Indiana University  of Pennsylvania where she was a 4 year starter on their softball team.  At IUP she won the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Championship in 2011 and 2012.  IUP was the Regional Champs and Super Regional Champs in 2011 making it to the NCAA Division II World Series.  Coach Ward is a Special Education teacher for the North Penn School District.

Coach Stephanie Kulp  Junior Varsity Assistant Coach(5th Year)

Coach Kulp is a North Penn 2011 graduate and was a 4 year softball player at NP.  She was a 2 year starter for the NP varsity softball team having served as captain in her senior year.  Steph holds the NP single season record for home runs (7). Coach Kulp attended Millersville University where she studied Early Childhood and Special Education.  Stephanie was a 3 year starter on the Millersville softball team.  Coach Kulp is a Special Education teacher for the North Penn School District.  

Coach Beer  6th year  Assistant Varsity Coach

Coach Beer has been involved with the softball program for the past 7 years  We are excited to have him on the staff as he brings many years of travel softball experience.

Coach White 3rd year.  Coach White is the former Abington High School Varsity Head Coach.  She coached at Abington for 28 years and had an outstanding career coaching many players who went on to play in college.

Coach Sarah Rambo 1st year:  Sarah is our Junior Varsity Head Coach.  Coach Rambo started her softball career at Methacton High School. She then went onto Molloy College where she was a 3 year starter.  While at Molloy, they won the East Coast Conference in 2015. Molloy was a Regional qualifier all 4 years.  In 2016, Molloy was the Regional champs and Super Regional Champs making it to the NCAA Division 2 World Series.  Coach Rambo is a Family and Consumer Sciences teacher at North Penn High School
