Coyotes Sweep Then Get Swept
The Coyotes had a very solid team coming into the 2022 season. The core is revolved around former 1st overall pick (2021) Colton Stupar and a league founder Carter Casey. The Coyotes did some work in this year's draft picking up 2 key players Blake Simons (former warrior) and rookie Kolby Chiodo. Entering game one against rivals, The Moose Point Mavericks, the Coyotes took game one in spectacular fashion. With Blake Simons hitting a walk-off home run off of his brother, Owen Simons (Final 6-5 Coyotes). In game 2 the coyotes won by 5, the by 1 in game 3 to sweep the series. The confident Coyotes (3-0) faced off against the Cobras (1-2). The Cobras' ego was silenced by the Warriors in their Opening Day series. Game won started off with the Coyotes on top early on, but the Cobras battled back to win game one (12-8). Game 2 the Cobras also took from the Coyotes (6-3). In game 3 the Coyotes were able to tie the game in the Top of the 3rd inning. The Cobras once again found away to walk-it-off with a single. The Coyotes were sent down to 3-3, and the Cobras gained up to 4-2 and with that their ego.

Mavs Pick up First Rookie
Following the 2022 PWL Entry/Re-entry and Expansion Drafts the Moose Point Mavericks kicked off the season with no rookies on their roster. As more players continue to join the league, and following the Mavericks Opening Day performance, the Mavs looked into Free Agency. With 3 available players (Max Connolly, John Lafevre, and Seth Lambert) Mavericks started conversations with possible pick-ups. Around 10'o clock on Tuesday (May 10th), the Mavs officially signed John Lafevre. The Mavs vs Warriors series has been Postponed, due to bad weather. The Mavericks are trying to schedule possible games on Friday May 13, against either the Cobras, Stormhawks, or Skeeters.
Jaden Lehmberg and Cael Motherway step up in a huge way for the PWL by both accepting the job to be a G.M. for a two new teams in the PWL. Cael Motherway has elected to name his team the Southwest Skeeters based on his location relative to the others and the common mosquitoes in the summer of Northern Minnesota. Jaden Lehmberg has elected to name his team the Southeast Stormhawks. Both teams will get two picks from other teams in an expansion draft as well as getting picks in the Free Agency Draft.
2022 Rookie Class Looking Strong
The PWL is having a entry/re-draft this year. Amoung the players draft elligible there is many returning players such as former Wendigo Warrior Jeffery Shaffer, or former Seadog GM Drew Stanley. There is also a group of new guys entering the league. This consists of 2 new GMs Jaden Lehmberg and Cael Motherway, along with 5 other new players. The upcoming draft order is unknown as of now, but we are working on finding a time.
Hyduke Very Confident About Team's Chances in 2022
In an interview with G.M. Gradey Hyduke he said this. "My team will win the league this year because we have power in A. Wegwerth and speed in G. Wegwerth as well as the best reserve in the league in Lucas Rychart. My team is led by four 2nd year players as well as we have most obviously the best G.M. in the league."
