Hockey Appreciation Day in Teaneck NJ  A complete Success

The RHL appeared at the Teaneck Middle School on October 14, 2014 for hockey appreciation day.  We had special apperaces who spoke about who they were and  they also put on an interactive program as well.  The children were excellent and very very excited to meet these people as well . We also  had giveaways for  the children as well and also had local media attend this event as well.

OFFICIALS:

Please note That employment is underway for officials for the upcoming 2011 season.

In June, we will finalize the officiating lists and we will contact you to set up an appointment for contract signing. At your contract signing, you will receive a rulebook, crest and your id.



Prerequisite For Officiating
1. Have Played hockey
2. Junior Hockey Knowledge
3. Still or have held a USA Hockey Officiating Certification


Mandatory rules and Regulations

1. All officials must wear crest on their jerseys at all times.
2. All officials must wear an ID to to clear security and must be worn when you are not officiating games and on the grounds.
3. All officials must have a name plate. If you do not have one please contact the league so we can send you a list of companies who can supply you a name plate.
4. All officials must wear a half shield visor- this is not negotiable.
5. Officials who can not make a game for whatever reason, must contact the commissioner 24 hours prior to that game. Any official who does not adhere to this rule will be placed on suspension and probation.
6. Any officials who assess a game misconduct, game ejection game disqualification,match penalty, or gross misconduct must contact the commissioner immediately. A game report formed has be provided for you and must be emailed to the commissioner.

6. Dress Code- (Arrival to Rink) All officials are to be dressed formally which means suit ( Jacket, shirt, tie, shoes0 (NO Sneakers) You may bring a change of clothes for after the game.



Game Miscounduct Forms

October 19, 2010 – 11:00 AM
Any player who are assessed a misconduct, game misconduct, game disqualification, game ejection, match penalty, gross misconduct must be reported to the director of officials and to the league commissioner following the game. A report form for referees must also be filled out as well (Scoresheet Attached) and be given to a league administrator.

Repeat offenders will either face double suspensions or league expulsion!!
