Coaches Comments:

  • This week we will continue our preseason workouts. We are less then a month away from the begining of the season and have not seen a lot of you. What you do in the next month will dicate how our season will go. How will you prepare for the first practice? Will you come in shape and ready to go or will you be out of shape? Remember we only have 2 weeks of practice before our first meet against O'Hara.

  • VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED FOR THE REF/CYEDC RIDLEY 5K RUN. We will need volunteers to meet at the Community Center (next to the high school) by 7:15AM for their assignments. The race starts at 8:00AM at the Ridley YMCA.  If they are directing runners/walkers on the race course, they are done when the last runner goes by.  We are currently estimating no more than 3 hours. We will have 2 buses transporting runners from the Community Center to the YMCA from 7:00 to 7:35AM. We would love for volunteers to dress in costume but that is not a requirement! REPLY TO THIS EMAIL IF YOU CAN VOLUNTEER!

  • We re thrilled with the high interest in athletes joining our program. The coaching staff is asking that all NEW member of the team fill out this Google Form. It doesn't matter what grade you are in if you are new to the team please fill out the form! This will allow the coaching staff to begin to plan practice groups and other important details for the season. If you are new and haven't filled this out yet please make it a priority to do it now. We need to begin planning and can't do that without knowing how many student athletes to expect.

  • Save the date! Get your tickets ASAP!  The Ridley Swimming and Diving program will be working with Kricket Comedy to host a comedy night fundraiser on Saturday November 12th. $50 per ticket will get you appetizers and a 2 hour open bar plus $25 from each ticket will be donated back to the swimming and diving program. The last time we did this was a blast! We would love to see all of our parents at this fun event to kick off the season! You can purchase tickets here! See the attached flyer for more information. Right now we have only have 12 tickets sold. 4 of them are from Coach Pierce and his family. PLEASE ORDER ONLINE ASAP so the show will not be cancled!

  • Every high school student athlete in the state of Pennsylvania is required to have a physical to participate in interscholastic sports. All physicals must be dated June 1 and later. The information can be found here FIRST SPORT RECERTIFICATION.   If swimming/diving is your first sport of the year the entire packet must be filled out. If you participate in a fall sport you just need to fill out the recertification packet.  This paperwork must be turned in by the first day of practice (Mid November) or the student athlete will not be allowed to participate. If you have the paperwork done early please get it to Coach Pierce ASAP!  Instead of printing you can always pick up a packet in the main office once school starts. As always if there are any questions or concerns please reach out!

  • Please remember that we are trying to build our numbers back up. Since Covid our numbers have been a bit lower then we are used to having. We need to fix that. Please talk to family, friends etc. and let them know about our program. We are not looking for Olympic swimmers/divers. We are looking for GOOD kids who are willing to WORK HARD. Your help with this is greatly appreciated. If you know of anyone interested have them reach out to Coach Pierce!
