The Yankees played the Angels and the Yankees hitting was non stop. It included a four run HR(GS) by Pete. They won by a score of 30-4. The Yankees starting pitcher pitched great.
The 2nd game was expected to be competitive with the Cubs out-scoring the Phillies 6-3. All of the Cubs runs came in the first few innings with the Phillies not having enough to pull the win out.
Next week we will have three games on Sunday at the same location.
Two games played yesterday. Both the Cubs and Mustangs jumped out early. The Rangers scored late against the Cubs while the Angels scored thoughout the game. It was a cool and windy day making pitching a bit difficult.
1st week 2022
1st week of 2022 matched the Mustangs vs Phillies. the Phillies led most of the game until the last few innings where the Mustangs tied the game. Both teams had the opportunity to win the game in the extra inning but both were unable to score with a 8-8 tie. Week 4 of the season
The Astros have been tough all around winning their last two games against the Rangers and Nationals. Both teams found it hard to score and hold the Astros under 15 runs. Chip has brought the Astros in as the the team to beat.
Last years champs (Cubs) are playing well coming off a win and a tie this last week. The week before they shut out the Nationals 9-0. Their next game will have them playing the Astros on the 20th.
The Angels have only played three games this year and have beaten the Nationals in a close one 6-3 two weeks ago. They have improved since last year and will still be tested this year. They lost their most recent game to the Cubs.
The Nationals and Rangers are getting off to a rough start with only one win each. The Rangers tied the Cubs and look to continue to play competitive. The Nationals are struggling this year but started their season last year in a similar way. We will see if they can improve.

Second week of play
Our second week saw the Astro's win their second game with another run away win. They had two big innings against the Nationals with great hitting. They next face the Rangers who have been playing tough. The Rangers had their second one run loss losing to the Cubs this week and the Nationals last week. The Rangers came back their second game to take the Angels with their hitting.
Two good games next week match the Astros vs. Rangers and the Nationals vs Cubs. The Angels look to get their first win against the Nationals... All good games!

It was not enough with the Rangers winning 14-5.

Playoffs are Set
This last week of the season saw the Angles start the day with their bats against the Cubs. Several big innings in the game lead to 21 runs and the win. This secured 4th place for the Angels. The Cubs then played tough against the Rangers but the game ended with a Rangers win 11-9. This set up the last game between the Astros and Rangers for 2nd place. The Rangers played their 2nd game of the day and lost a close one 10-6. Eric for the Rangers hit a deep ball to left center for a home run. We have had several HR''s hit this season at Holy Cross but not more than we would want... This makes the deep ball a part of our game. Once again thanks, Coach Botello!
It''s been a good season for our 1st year and believe it will only get better! We will finish the year with the playoffs next week. Good luck to all teams involved.
Congratulations to the Nationals for taking the season title. (for my players)
Standings will be corrected after playoff games are played.

The Cubs and Angels are going to battle for the last playoff spot this weekend. Good luck to both teams.

End of Year
We are into our last month of league play and the rain continues. We will have a lot of games scheduled for September in order to finish the playoffs at the end of the month. Be prepared to play. The schedule has been difficult with the rain outs as well as having five teams. The managers have learned a lot about how to schedule and when to play games. Anticipate improvement for next year. Thanks for your patience.

Three Game Weekends
We are playing more doubleheaders then we want. But consider that Sundays with three games are two and a half hours long. No new inning will start after this time. This is 15 minutes shorter then a regular two game Sunday.
Aldo
End of Year Schedule
We are in our last six weeks of baseball and still have a lot of games to play. Expect two games per week at one time or another just so we can finish in September. We have learned that we can not take our time in the spring and have teams idle. We plan to adjust for next year to avoid this situation we are in. We could cut the number of games but we started the season with a plan to play 20 games. This is the number of games we communicated with all players. We must consider Holy Cross HS who have commitments with their programs. Football being one. We can not extend our season any longer then scheduled. Thank you for your patience.
Aldo

Great game at Holy Cross today. The Nationals came back and won in the last inning 13-12 against the Cubs. The Nationals were down 10-12.
JULY SCHEDULE
There will be no games for July 4th weekend. Two weeks are posted for July. The rest of the July schedule will be posted on a week to week basis. Will try to keep three to four weeks posted at a time. We are getting closer to the end of the season and we will have to consider rain out makeup games for the remainder of season. This leaves room to adjust the schedule before posting it. Thanks

June 11 Results
The Rangers got another win today over the Cubs. They pulled ahead throughout the game and had Scott pitching a great game. The Cubs stayed close until the last half of the game. Congratulations Rangers.
JUNE SCHEDULE
I had to revise the schedule due to Fathers day. With 5 teams, it affected more than one game. Trying to ensure all teams play 4 to 5 games for the month of June except for the Astros who were busy in May. This will equal two to three extra games played that were rained out.
The June schedule is out. Have scheduled extra games due to recent rain outs. We will make games up now instead of waiting for 100 degree weather in July and August. Have scheduled Sunday games but with field availability and manager approvals they can be moved to Saturday. Thank you.

Thank you,
