Fundraising, why is it so important?

• 100% of the money received from registration, fundraisers, and concessions goes into Team Thunder Basketball Organization.

• We are a non-profit organization and solely run and operated by volunteers.

• No member of the organization are being paid or compensated in any way for any duties preformed for the Organization.

• All members of the organization are required to pay the same registration and any other fees required and participate in all fundraisers. The members of the organization pay more than anyone else with the countless hours spent organizing and preparing all aspects of the operation of the organization. Majority of the time spending out of pocket money for items and services and not being reimbursed for such expenses (by choice). Why? Because of the support and dedication we want to show and to provide the best experience possible to every child and adult that participates in the program and to the community.

• We want to keep the registration fee low enough to help the families in the community that are less fortunate and struggling to make ends meet. Even with our low registration fee for whatever reason some families are unable to come up with the required fees. We are proud of the fact we have never turned a child away for nonpayment and do not plan to do so. We are in this for the children and the community.

• The Registration Fee covers the cost of the player’s uniforms.

• The fundraisers and concessions go toward the cost of:

  • Practice balls

  • Game ball

  • Uniforms

  • Rental fees for facilities

  • Training equipment i.e. Hands up trainer, Pads, Resistance Bands, Dribble Stick 

  • Trophies/Awards

  • Transportation

  • Concessions items

  • Just to mention a few

• Some short term goals for Team Thunder

  • Obtain practice space

  • Parent Participation

  • Improvements to concessions

  • Just to mention a few

• Some long term goals for Team Thunder

  • Independent and self-supporting facilities

None of this can be accomplished without the support and participation from everyone involved in the program and the community.
