WBA SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS

For immediate release: June 10, 2016 Whitemarsh Baseball Association (WBA) is pleased to announce that Matt Cooper, son of Susan and Neil Cooper of Lafayette Hill, Pa., has received the 2016 Whitemarsh Baseball Association’s scholarship award. Matt is a 2016 graduate of Plymouth Whitemarsh High School in Plymouth Meeting, Pa. He will begin the 2016 fall semester at Penn State, Main campus, were he will be majoring in Finance. All of the applicants were evaluated on their academics, activities/community service and an essay. Matt has demonstrated that working hard, discipline and the desire to succeed will pay dividends on and off the field.

For immediate release: June 2, 2015 Whitemarsh Baseball Association (WBA) is pleased to announce that Brett Highland, son of William (Chip) and Mary Beth Highland of Lafayette Hill, Pa., has received the 2015 Whitemarsh Baseball Association’s scholarship award. Brett is a 2015 graduate of Plymouth Whitemarsh High School in Plymouth Meeting, Pa. He will begin the 2015 fall semester at Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pa., were he will be majoring in Business & Economics and will begin his College Football career with the Bears. All of the applicants were evaluated on their academics, activities/community service and an essay. Brett has demonstrated that working hard, discipline and the desire to succeed will pay dividends on and off the field.

For immediate release: June 15, 2014 Whitemarsh Baseball Association (WBA) is pleased to announce that Jordan Mitchell, son of John and Jamie Mitchell of Lafayette Hill has received the 2014 Whitemarsh Baseball Association’s scholarship award. Jordan is a 2014 graduate of Plymouth Whitemarsh High School in Plymouth Meeting, Pa. He will begin the 2014 fall semester at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee were he will be majoring in Business/Finance. All of the applicants were evaluated on their academics, activities/community service and an essay. Jordan has demonstrated that working hard, discipline and the desire to succeed will pay dividends on and off the field.

For immediate release:June 15, 2013 Whitemarsh Baseball Association (WBA) is pleased to announce that Patrick Cosgrave, son of Tim and Becky Cosgrave of Plymouth Meeting has received the 2013 Whitemarsh Baseball Association’s scholarship award. Pat is a 2013 graduate of Plymouth Whitemarsh High School in Plymouth Meeting, Pa. He will begin the 2013 fall semester at the Dickinson College in Pennsylvania were he will be majoring in Political Science. All of the applicants were evaluated on their academics, activities/community service and an essay. Pat has demonstrated that working hard, discipline and the desire to succeed will pay dividends on and off the field.

He will begin the 2012 fall semester at the Shenendoah University in Virginia were he will be majoring in Math and Finance. Kirby, son of Michael and Ellen Kirby of Lafayette Hill, has received the 2011 Whitemarsh Baseball Association’s scholarship award. Nick is a 2011 graduate of Plymouth Whitemarsh High School in Plymouth Meeting, Pa. He will begin the 2011 fall semester at the University of Delaware were he will be majoring in Interpersonal Communications. Brett is a 2010 graduate of Plymouth Whitemarsh High School in Plymouth Meeting, Pa. He will begin the 2010 fall semester at Penn state were he will be a Pre-med major. Rafe is a 2009 graduate of Plymouth Whitemarsh High School in Plymouth Meeting, Pa. He will begin the 2009 fall semester at UCLA were he will be majoring in Computer Science.
