DIRECTIONS TO WESTFIELD FIELDS
(TAMAQUES PARK, MEMORIAL PARK, AND WESTFIELD HIGH SCHOOL)
FROM ROUTE 22
Take the exit for New Providence Road in Mountainside. If you are driving in the eastbound lane, the exit is just past Famous Dave’s. Make a right at the end of the short exit ramp onto New Providence Road. If you are driving in the westbound lane, the exit is shortly past the old Alexus Steakhouse. Take the jug handle across Route 22; you will be on New Providence Road.
Follow New Providence Road for approximately .5 miles to the first traffic light, which is at the intersection of Mountain Ave.
Make a right onto Mountain Ave., and follow Mountain until it ends at East Broad St., approximately 1.1 miles.
Make a right onto East Broad Street and follow East Broad through the Westfield business district. As you leave the business district, you will go under a railroad overpass and approach a traffic circle.
As you enter the circle bear right onto South Avenue. (Don’t go around the circle.) Within 100 yards, you will come to a traffic light.
Make a left at the light onto West Broad Street.
For Westfield High School
After turning onto West Broad Street, make the first left onto Rahway Avenue. The High School fields will be approximately .2 miles on your left. Field #1 is the field closest to the parking lot. Field #2 is the field farthest from the lot.
For Memorial Park
Follow West Broad until you reach a blinking light, which is at the intersection of Scotch Plains Avenue (approximately .5 miles).
Make a right onto Scotch Plains Ave.
Make the first left into the Memorial Park and Pool complex. The fields will be on your right. See the attached field maps for the exact location of the field.
For Tamaques Park
Follow West Broad until you reach Lamberts Mill Road, which is approximately .2 miles past the blinking light.
Make a left onto Lamberts Mill Road.
Follow Lamberts Mill Road for approximately 1.3 miles and make a left turn into Tamaques Park. See the attached field map for the exact location of the field.
FROM THE GARDEN STATE PARKWAY
Take exit 135 and follow the signs for Westfield.
You will be on Central Avenue with a Shop Rite on your right and a Bradlees and Marshall’s on your left.
Follow Central for approximately .5 miles. After you pass Bally’s on your right and Barnes and Noble on your left, you will come to a traffic light just before a steep overpass over train tracks. (There is a bank at the near left corner.)
Make a left at the light onto Terminal Ave. Follow that street for approximately .6 miles until you reach a traffic light.
For Westfield High School
Make a right at the traffic light and follow this road (which becomes Rahway Avenue after you cross the railroad tracks) for approximately 1.9 miles. The Westfield High School fields will be on your right.
For Tamaques Park and Memorial Park
Make a right at the traffic light and, just after you cross the railroad tracks, make a left onto Lamberts Mill Road. (Houlihan Field will be on your left and St. Helen’s Church will be on your right as you turn onto Lamberts Mill.)
For Tamaques Park
Follow Lamberts Mill for approximately 1.2 miles and make a right into Tamaques Park. See the attached field map for the exact location of the field.
For Memorial Park
Follow Lamberts Mill for approximately 2.5 miles until the end.
Make a right onto West Broad Street, and follow West Broad for approximately .2 miles until you reach the blinking light at the intersection of Scotch Plains Ave.
Make a left onto Scotch Plains Ave.
Make the first left into the Memorial Park and Pool complex. See the attached field map for the exact location of the field.
