It was a great opening day yesterday (June 15th)! Lone Star SSCL Gold took on Lone Star SSCL Grey in a double header match up!

Game 1 Recap

Lone Star SSCL Gold batted first and took an early lead of 2 runs! In the bottom half of the first inning, Lone Star SSCL Grey punched back and took a 5-2 lead!

After two innings of play Lone Star SSCL Grey took a 10-2 lead over Lone Star SSCL Gold.

The score stayed the same until the top of the last inning. Lone Star SSCL Gold score 4 runs, but could not fully make the comeback.

Game 2 Recap

Lone Star SSCL Gold kept the bats quiet for Lone Star SSCL Grey in the top half of the inning before taking a 1-0 lead. In the second inning, Gold scored 4 and Grey fired back scoring 3 runs!

The two teams kept fighting back and forth for more runs throughout the game.

The offcial start date for the Lone Star Summer Softball Collegiate League has been pushed back to June 14th, 2023.

About Lone Star SSCL

The Lone Star Summer Softball Collegiate League is in its first year of existence and was created to give softball players everywhere the opportunity to continue playing at a high level while staying in playing shape. Our League bridges the gap for college softball players who want to continue to play over the summer. Our league is open to incoming college freshmen to newly graduated college seniors. Lone Star Summer Softball Collegiate League’s goal is to give players the opportunity to learn from different coaches and create friendships with players from across the country. The league is committed to providing a good player and fan atmosphere while having a competitive game that both players and fans can enjoy. Come join our league to keep working hard while promoting the game of softball throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Area.

The Lone Star Summer Softball Collegiate League was founded and is run by a former college softball player and current college coach, Natalie Winchester. Natalie has always dreamed of helping the game of softball grow and giving girls new opportunities to continue to succeed. She is committed to making sure players can continue to play during the summer months to ensure players stay at peak performance
