The wrestling season typically begins the third week of October and runs through the end of February.  Registration is open to all kids ages 4-14.

Practices

Typically, practices are separated by age and experience and are scheduled two evenings a week.  Adjustments may be made as the season starts. The practice schedule can be found on the Calendar.

Practice is the most important step on the road to success. It is very important that every wrestler attend as many practices as possible. We cover quite a bit of technique and drills in the very beginning of the season. Parents are responsible for conveying the importance of appropriate behavior during practice. This will allow coaches to focus on technique and make the most of everyone's time. It is very easy for athletes to fall behind if they regularly miss practice.

Tournaments

We participate in tournaments on Saturdays starting in November. Tournaments provide wrestlers with an opportunity to utilize the skills that they have learned and drilled in practice. Weigh-ins for the dual meets will be done at practice.

It's crucial that you let us know in advance if you will be attending a tournament. Kids are grouped in brackets based on experience and reported age/weight combinations.  Last minute cancellations and no-shows are detrimental to these events.
