WHAT A START TO THE 2025 BASEBALL / SOFTBALL SEASON
With opening day to be May 3, 2025, Mother Nature decided that it wasn't the time for our league to play ball. We did manage to get all the team photo's done that were scheduled for May 3. After a short talk the games were moved to Monday May 5th but yet once again Mother Nature had other plans for the league and it started to rain. Again the games were postponed to a later date which those dates have been updated on the website and on our Leagues App we use ( TeamReach ). A few parents have come to the decision that Mother Nature just doesn't like Baseball at all. We have our fingers crossed that we can play baseball this week and that Mother Nature will finally love Baseball.
On Sunday May 4 the rest of the teams had their pictures taken. After pictures were done being taken, our Softball team had a short practice in the batting cages. While that was going on, our League President, Vice President, and Fundraiser Chairwomen started working on the fields once again to get the ready for opening day ( May 5th ). A lot of work has been going on at the fields and behind the scenes.
Now about our concession stands. Our main concession stand is located above A Field and has everything you can think of. We have hot food, cold drinks, candy for everyone and the best concession workers a field could ever ask for. We do have a second concession stand down by B Field but this one does not offer hot food but it certainly does offer the other items. If anyone would like to volunteer to work either concession stands, you can look on the main page to see who to contact.
Last but not least, please be patient with us as there is constrution materials in the parking lot inbetween B & C Fields. We do ask that you do not park over there as constrution workers will be in and out of that area due to the construction happening on D Street. Please be respectful to the workers and if they ask you to please move your vehicles, please do not argue with them. They do have the leagues permission and Lower Yoder Twp's permission to use that part of the parking lot until construction is finished.
