Standard Rules of Play
- All games will abide by NHIAA Basketball Rules. The only exceptions are:
- Maximum player fouls allowed in a game is six (6).
- Teams are allotted two (2) full timeouts and four (4) half timeouts for the game. Time-outs are not divided by half.
Rules of Time
- All games are two (2) twenty minute half's.
- Time is running time with three (3) expectations, they are:
- Any team substitutions
- Any shooting foul. This DOES NOT include non-shooting fouls
- During the last one (1) minute of play of the first half
- During the last two (2) minutes of play of the second half
- 20 Point Rule
- At any time the difference between the score is twenty (20) points, the clock will run regardless of any stop time exception.
- If at any time a team is able to reduce the deficit of the score to less than twenty (20) points, stop time rules will apply.
Schedule
- Schedule Changes
- Team Requested changes are not allowed.
- Weather related changes will be decided upon by the league director. Notification will be made via email, social media, and website methods. Make-up games will be scheduled promptly and notified in the same manner
Roster
- Limits/Deadlines
- No Team shall have a roster of more than 12 players.
- All rosters must be submitted prior to the first game for each team.
- All players must be 18 and have signed all applicable waivers.
- Injured Reserve
- Any player who is subjected to an injury (regardless if it was league related), may be placed on the IR. This must be for at least three weeks. This will allow the team to replace that player for the minimum three weeks, or until the player deems it appropriate to return. If the player returns, the replacement player must leave the roster.
- No IR replacements are allowed after Week 7, except on a case-by-case basis approved by a majority Team Captain vote.
Code of Conduct
- Professionalism
- All teams/players are expected to keep a professional demeanor. Profanity, arguing, fighting, and other turbulent behavior will be grounds for game suspension. Officiating teams will determine a player's fitness to continue play and have authority to require players to leave the facility.
- Alcohol/Drugs
- Those who are under the influence of alcohol/drugs will be asked to leave the facility.
- Consumption of alcohol/drugs will not be tolerated.
- Penalties
- If a player is instructed to leave a facility due to a concern of Professionalism, the player will be subject to a league warning. A subsequent incident will result in the expulsion of the player from the league.
- If a player is instructed to leave due to assaulting a player, regardless if it was the first incident, will automatically be expelled from the league.
- If a player is caught consuming alcohol/drugs while at a league game, regardless if it was the first incident, will automatically be expelled from the league
- Appeals
- Any player suspended or expelled from the league may ask for reconsideration. The league director will review the circumstances. If the league director determines the action did not rise to a level that would be consider irreversibly detrimental to the league, the director may submit the facts to all Team Captains. A vote will be held by Team Captains. If a vote of 2/3's of Team Captains vote to approve the repeal of the suspension, the player may re-join their team.
- Forfeiture of Fee/Roster Position
- If a player is expelled from the league due to Code of Conduct, no reimbursement of any portion of the team fee will be made.
- The roster position of the expelled player cannot be replaced.
