THE SECOND STUDENT OF THE WEEK, KENNY BROWN

February 19, 2005
The coach sat down this week to interview "K.B." the big man in the middle, Kenny Brown.

COACH: How do you think the team will finish the season?
K.B.: I think we will win the playoff tournament.
COACH: I know this is your 1st year playing on a basketball team, and I was wondering how you felt after playing your very 1st game back in January against Potomac Landing?
K.B.: Well I was kind of mad because we lost, but happy because it was my 1st game. The next time we will crush them so bad that they will turn the clock off!
COACH: Mmmm......{the coach was thinking the same thing}.
COACH: Do you have a favorite subject in school?
K.B.: Yes, it's science and reading.
COACH: Which college do you want to attend?
K.B.: Hmm. A college with a good basketball team.
COACH: What do you want to do when you grow up?
K.B.: Become a N.B.A. player or work in the government.
HONK! HONK!
COACH: Hey K.B. it sounds like your ride is here, so we're going to have to wrap this interview up..... two quick questions...who's better Kobe or Lebron?
K.B.: Well I don't get to watch to much basketball, but I'll say Kobe.
COACH: Do you have any hobbies?
K.B.: Basketball, football, swimming and video games.
COACH: Alright, get out of here before your ride leaves...see you at practice.
K.B.: O'k coach.

THE FIRST STUDENT OF THE WEEK, JULIUS JOHNSON!

12-18-04
THE COACH SAT DOWN THIS WEEK FOR A QUESTION & ANSWER SESSION WITH THE BULLDOGS FIRST STUDENT OF THE WEEK, JULIUS JOHNSON. JULIUS IS ONE OF TWO STUDENTS ON THE TEAM TO HAVE A PERFECT REPORT CARD DURING THE FIRST QUARTER.

COACH: So Julius tell me, what do you enjoy most about Christmas?
JULIUS: Opening presents and enjoying the holiday spirit of
Jesus.
COACH: How do you think the team will do this season?
JULIUS: I think we are going to win it all and finish 7-0.
COACH: Whoa..why?
JULIUS: We have a lot of talented kids on our team, guys that can develop into good players.
COACH: Okay. What is your favorite subject in school?
JULIUS: Mostly math, but I love science.
COACH: What do you want to do for a living when you grow up?
JULIUS: After my N.B.A. career I'd like to coach in the N.B.A. for the Atlanta Hawks.
COACH: Why the Hawks?
JULIUS: I like the city.
COACH: Which college do you want to attend?
JULIUS: Georgia Tech, because successful students graduate from Tech and go on to become professional basketball players.
COACH: Okay, now it's time for the tough questions. Who's prettier, Raven from Disney's "That's so Raven" or Penny from Disney's "The Proud Family"?
JULIUS:{smiling} Raven.
COACH: Who's better, Kobe or Lebron?
JULIUS: Lebron has so much talent for an 18 year older, Kobe is good but not better.

COACH: Who's better, Kobe's Lakers or Shaq's Heat?
JULIUS: The Lakers. The Heat have Shaq but the Lakers got a lot of talent from the Heat when they traded Shaq.... like Caron Butler, Brian Grant and Lamar Odom.
COACH: What are your thought's on the Indiana Pacer players fighting the fans recently?
JULIUS: The fan shouldn't have thrown the cup at Ron Artest and Artest shouldn't have went into the stands after the fans, but Artest shouldn't have been suspended the whole season.
COACH: Really? What do you think his suspension should have been?
JULIUS: 30 games, the same as Jermaine O'neal.
COACH: Is that your opinion or your dads'?
JULIUS: Mine!

COACH: Final question. If there were two people, dead or alive that you could meet, who would they be?
JULIUS: Martin L. King Jr. and Steve McNair.

COACH: Thanks Julius, you're now officially off the hot seat.
