ARTICLE VIII:    CODE OF CONDUCT


            Inappropriate Conduct


  1. The following are considered to be inappropriate conduct and all complaints will be reviewed AT THE DISCRETION OF THE BOARD.

  2. Code of Conduct applies to all people involved in the program, including coaches, Board Members, parents, spectators, referees, and participants.

    1. Engaging in any behavior that would endanger the health, safety, or well-being of any player, parent, coach, referee, or any other participant.

    2. Engaging in intimidation or threats of any kind aimed at a player, parent coach, Board Member, referee, or any other participant.

    3. Physically assaulting any player, parent, coach, Board Member, referee, or any other participant.

    4. Engaging in the use of offensive, vulgar, racially biased, or profane language.

    5. Vandalizing any OYF, VVYFC, or Oakwood Park property.

    6. Theft of any OYF, VVYFC, or Oakwood Park property.

    7. Using illegal drugs or alcohol, or being under the influence of drugs or alcohol during any practice, game, or other OYF or VVYFC event.

    8. Being ejected for unsportsmanlike behavior from any OYF game.

  3. Anyone charged with a conduct issue should come before the Board and speak their side of the story. If substantial enough information is gathered, there will be an emergency Board Meeting to determine disciplinary action.

    1. First offence: Verbal warning issued.

    2. Second offence: Written warning issued.

    3. Third offence: Suspension or expulsion from OYF program.

  4. All complaints will be reviewed at the discretion of the Board.


 


OYF BOARD SHALL FOLLOW ALL VVYFC LEAGUE OPERATIONS AND PLAYER ELIGIBILITIES.
