Practices begin this week at George Washington Elementary School. The schedule for the next 2 weeks is as follows:

MON 3/17 & 3/24 6:00-7:30 = U13-A (OPTIONAL SHOOTAROUND)
MON 3/17 & 3/24 7:30-9:00 = U13-B (OPTIONAL SHOOTAROUND)
TUE 3/18 & 3/25 6:00-7:30 = U11

Pending final approval, tryouts for the RC Warrior Nation AAU Boys Basketball teams are being setup to run 6:00 - 9:00 PM on Saturday March 15, 2008 at Algonquin Middle School. Detailed schedule will be posted on Tuesday 3/11. Directions can be found in the "DIRECTIONS" SECTION.

We will be opening the gym at George Washington School on March 10, 11 & 12 for players looking to prepare for the tryouts on 3/15. The open gym schedule will be as follows:

6:00-7:30 PM = U10 / U11 / U12

7:30-9:00 PM = U13 / U14

All players are welcome to attend. AAU registration is required to participate.

The fee schedule for the 2008 RC Warrior Nation season is now available in the handouts section. Fees will be collected at tryouts on March 15, 2008. Anyone wishing to register and pay the fees ahead of time can do so at the Open Gym sessions on March 10, 11 & 12.

Thank you for visiting the RC Warrior Nation website. We are a new Boys Basketball AAU program serving Averill Park, NY and the surrounding Rensselaer County community. Our goal is to provide players the opportunity to play competitve basketball in the spring while staying in the local area so they can still enjoy other spring activities.

This is our first season of existence as RC Warrior Nation. Last year we competed as the AP Junior Warriors with tremendous results. We have received such an overwhelming response from players looking to join us this spring that we have decided to expand our efforts. We are looking to field teams at the following age levels - 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U & 14U. The tryouts are slated for Saturday March 15. The schedule and location will be posted on March 10th.

Each team will participate in the local spring league operated through Adirondack AAU. This league is comprised of AAU teams from around the Capital District and the surrounding Upstate NY region.

In addition to the spring league, all teams will have the option to participate in 2 local AAU sanctioned tournaments. The first tournament is the Capital Area Classic scheduled for April 11-13, 2008 at HVCC The second tournament is the King of the Mountain Super Regional scheduled for May 16-18 to be played in the Saratoga/Lake George region.
