Frequently Asked Questions

When Does the Spring Season Begin?

Great Question. The fall season will begin on April 6, 2015. The training will be an evaluation of all coaches, and administration. We will also have a “play day” on Saturday, April 11 from 9-11. Each age group will have 30-45 minutes to play and be evaluated. This will allow the coaches to best determine placement in age-group and team to make this a successful season.

Practices will begin the following week.

When will the practices be?

Each week your child will have 2 schedules practices. The first practice will be help on Monday’s (Rookie and Junior). The time will be determined by age group. Each group will be coaches by senior staff coaches, and be more geared towards soccer skills specific to their appropriate age. The second practice each week will be determined by the team’s head coach and could be Tuesday-Friday. Little Indians will only practice once a week!

What equipment will my child need?

In Rittman Youth Soccer we encourage use of shin guards for practices and games. Your child will use a Size 4 soccer ball (Rookies and Juniors), and a size 3 for the Little Indians, and it is helpful if each child has one. Soccer cleats are not needed, however we do require close-toed shoes (athletic, tennis) to be wore to participate.

What do I get for my registration fee?

In House: Rittman Youth Soccer prides itself on providing the best bang for your buck in the area. For your registration fee your child will receive quality coaching at all games and practices. Your child will also receive a T-Shirt, and award at the end of the season.

Senior and Middle School: Your child will receive a uniform (returned at the end of the season), as well as quality coaching from past and current Rittman soccer players. Your child will be playing their games in Wooster, which is an additional cost to the club.

Can I request to be on the same team as a family member or friend?

Yes. However, Rittman Youth Soccer will do its best to accommodate your requests, but it is not always possible.
