So. Cal Warriors Basketball, Inc. is a 501(C)(3) non profit (Tax ID # 46-2942276).   Refer to our handout section for our IRS tax exemption letter.

The program was started to support youth basketball and fitness in the Los Angeles area.   Our doors are open to Youth (boys and girls) between the ages of 5 and 17.  We consist of a board, coaches and volunteers.   We do not pay any salaries as all individuals that support us volunteer their time (several hours per week) and money to carry out the purpose and mission statement of the organization.  Our main focus and firm belief is in giving back to the kids and the families in the community many of which are underprivileged.   

We currently have 75 participants in the program but reach as many as 100 or more during the year. Our current demographic is diverse and includes 52% Latino, 22% African American, 20% White, and 7% Asian. Fifty five percent of (70%) of our kids come from low to moderate income households.  Some of our children are in the foster system or come from single parent households. 

We hold an annual fundraiser and funds raised are used to provide access to our program for families especially those that are not able to afford the program. All proceeds will go to directly benefit the youth as we have virtually no overhead costs.  We also provide scholarship opportunities to our youth to participate in this annual program.
