St. Joe Community Baseball and Softball

Child must be 3 by February 1 to sign up.  4 year olds are encouraged to play Tball.  5 year olds can play either based on experience.  A new 5 year old should possibly play t-ball, a returning 5 year old should play machine pitch. (Parents and sign up personnel discretion). 6 year olds must play in Machine Pitch.  April 30/May 1 is cut off.  If a child turns 7 on or before May 1 they are ineligible.

T-Ball Rules:

• All batters must wear a helmet
• Soft baseball used “T” only entire game  
• Batter gets unlimited swings to get ball past the 10’ arc line. Coach can assist if needed
• 50’ bases, 2 innings (3 if time and kids allow);
• No outs kept but throws to 1^st encouraged
• Every player bats each inning. 
• Last batter hits “home run” and clears the bases.
• Every player plays the field each inning on defense
