The league will operate under the following rules:
Maximum guy to girl ratio of 3 to 1 with no more than three guys a row in the batting order.
No metal cleats.  Soft or hard rubber cleats are allowed.
All games shall be (7) innings. If tied after (7) innings play extra innings until a winner is determined. The international rule will not be used in regular season play only in tournaments.
Maximum of (7) runs shall be scored in any (1) inning, except the 7th. And extra innings, which are open.
A fielding team shall consist of (10) players, (3) of which are female. However, (2) females can play, (a) a teen is the third player, (b) an automatic out is taken in place of the third female player. There is no limit of playing more than (3) female players. NOTE: YOU CAN PLAY WITH EIGHT PLAYERS AS LONG AS YOU HAVE TWO FEMALES ON THE FIELD.
A mat is used to determine strikes and balls. A second mat is used as a safe base for the runners coming home from third base. Mat size is 22” width x 36” length. A commitment line will also be used.
The pitch must be delivered with a perceptible arc of at least 6 feet from the ground. The pitched ball shall not reach a height of more than 12 feet at its highest point from the ground. (i.e. the backstop is approx. 12 feet.)
No base stealing or lead-offs are allowed. Players may leave the base only after the ball has been hit.
Players may advance on overthrows. The ball is live until the pitcher retrieves and returns to the pitching mound. Overthrows over the fence or in the players benches, will be allowed to advance (1) base.
A batter will be out if a foul ball is caught which has reached a minimum height equal to that of the batters height. Note: A foul ball on the third strike is an automatic out.
Batting teams must provide an umpire. Umpires decisions are final.
A complete game will consist of a minimum of (5) complete innings. I.e. Both teams must have finished batting in the fifth inning. If (5) innings are not completed (due to rain, etc.) the game will be rescheduled.
No intentional walks. Walking a male batter on four pitches, if followed by a female batter, will result in the first batter going to 2nd Base and the second batter (female) shall have the option to hit or go to 1st base.
All Children and pets are to stay off the playing fields during games.
No unnecessary roughness. Offending players are to be removed from the game and may face a suspension depending on their actions.

Keep the grounds clean. Please pick up garbage and place in the barrels on site. Take any bottles/cans home with you.
Any additional rules will be subject to the official softball rule book.
Suncor will not be responsible to any injuries or damage incurred at these diamonds.
The catcher must stand on home plate or the rubber/wooden mat to register an out.
Woman are allowed to bunt
If you have 15 people on your game roster all 15 must bat - provided you are not exceeding the max guy to girl ratio of 3 to 1. You can’t pick and choose when a player bats. You can field whoever you want. As long as you have a min of 2 girls on the field. In the case of two girls you would only be able to play with 9 fielders.
No alcohol is permitted at the ball diamonds.
Games start at 7pm, the home team is responsible to submit the score via email or phone call to the league administrator regardless of a win or lose situation so that standings can be tracked.
If you are injured you can have a person run for you from home plate as long as the person is the same gender. The person must stand at the backstop in line with the foul line as to prevent a lead for the runner. The runner should be the last out or last scored.
HOME RUN LIMITS: (any untouched ball which travels over the fence, over fair ground)
  a. Five (5) and one up
NOTE I: The one up rule is in effect only after both teams have reached their home run limit.
Once both teams have reached their home run limit, either team may hit an additional home run, however, no
team may ever go more than one home run up on the other team. Any additional home runs above the one
up will be scored an out. The home team, in the bottom of the seventh or later innings, may hit one home run
to pull even in the number of home runs as the opposing team, but may not hit a home run to go one up.
Last and more importantly. Play safe and have fun!!!
