What is Trumansburg Travel Baseball?

Trumansburg Travel Baseball (TTB) is a non-profit organization that sponsors summer traveling baseball teams for ages 15 and under. Players from outside the Trumansburg School District are welcome to play as roster numbers permit.  TTB provides an opportunity for our children to participate in an enjoyable physical activity and develop fundamental baseball skills as they learn about teamwork, self-discipline, leadership, friendship, and sportsmanship. TTB teams are "semi" travel teams, and any child is welcome to participate. However, tryouts may be held as necessary.

The U12 (under 12) and U10 teams are not affiliated with any national organization. These teams play on a standard "Little League" baseball field with 60' basepaths. These teams generally play teams from Ithaca, Lansing, Dryden, Newfield, Groton, Moravia, South Seneca, Candor, and Spencer.

The U15 and Prep (U13) teams are affiliated with Babe Ruth Baseball and play in the Quad County League. A league championship tournament is held at the end of the year, often at Ithaca College. The Babe Ruth teams play on a full size (90' basepaths) baseball field and generally play teams from the same areas as the U12/U10 teams, in addition to other areas farther away. The U13 Prep team does allow 14 year old players on the team, but they are not allowed to pitch. 13 and 14 year old players are eligible to play on the U15 team, but must declare a primary team in order to avoid conflicts in scheduling. It is the decision of the U15 coach to allow a 13 year old player to play on the U15 squad.
