VISION BACKGROUND

Our community has been what others have desired it to be. It has also been what others did not wish it to become. We have an opportunity each day to make it better than what it has been and what others wish it had not become. To that extent, CJBB believes that its vision of what our community can become for those who have been marginalized or just simply ignored can be comparatively better than what it is now. Meaningful organizations have played a pivotal role in moving persons with challenges toward a more productive and greater quality of life so that they may become more productive in the communities in which they live and have involvement. The research shows that children and in particular boys who are connected to positive organizations are more successful in school and in life. CJB is an organization that is devoted to making a positive difference in the lives of its members. The commitment starts with the boys and girls and run throughout their families. CJB is dedicated to fulfilling this vision through strategic partnerships.

VISION STATEMENT

“Carolina Jazz Basketball in three years will have provided meaningful opportunities for boys and girls, their families, and community stakeholders to be actively engaged in providing quality opportunities for its members in applying educational, basketball, leadership, and mentorship skills in innovative ways to enhance the quality of life for themselves and all those who will become part of their lives”.
