Important League Information

Uniform:

All those participating in the league will receive a team jersey and a visor.  Minor and Junior level players will also receive matching socks.  It is the responsibility of each player to purchase a pair of softball pants. These pants should be black.

Practices and Games:

Practices will begin at the end of March/beginning of April with the season kicking off at the end of April. The season will conclude around the second week in June (unless we have multiple rainouts throughout the season).

Practices days and times will be determined by individual coaches, but in the beginning of the season teams can expect 2-3 practices per week and as the season progresses this will reduce.

Parent Code of Conduct:

  1. I will respect the rules and the policies of the league and remember the game is for the youth.
  2. I (and my guests) will be positive role model(s) for my child and will encourage sportsmanship by showing respect and courtesy and by demonstrating positive support for all involved.
  3. I (and my guests) will not engage in any kind of unsportsmanlike conduct with any officials, coaches, players or parents such as booing, taunting, , profane language or gestures.
  4. I will teach my child that doing one’s best is more important than winning, so that my child will never feel defeated by the outcome of a game or his/her performance
  5. I will never ridicule or yell at my child or other participant for making a mistake or losing a competition
  6. I will respect the officials and their authority during games and will never question, discuss or confront coaches at the game field, and will take time to speak with coaches at an agreed upon time & place.
  7. I will inform the coach of any physical disability or ailment that may affect the safety of my child or others
  8. I agree that if I fail to abide by the aforementioned rules and guidelines, I will be subjects to disciplinary action to include: verbal warning by official, head coach, and/or the league organizer, written warning, parental game suspension with written documentation of incident kept on file by league, parental season suspension.

Code of Participation

Coaches will strive to give equal playing time to all participants. Each division has regulations in place for how much playing time players will receive and the positions that they will be placed in.  However, player commitment is very important to the league and those players that are practicing regularly and participating in team/league events may be rewarded through a starting position, and playing extra innings if a spot arises.

Team Assignment:

For the minor and junior divisions there will be an evaluation night in order to fairly assign players to teams. More information about this try-out will be forthcoming, but it will take place at the beginning of March. Players will be assigned to teams based on experience, skill level, position and sportsmanship.

**Please note players may not end up on the same team they were on last year.

Teams and coaching assignments will be determined in March. Head coaches will have their child assigned to their team. Assistant coaches will be assigned after the draft and will be based around the team their child is assigned to.

In an effort to accommodate busy family schedules, all siblings will be placed on the same team within the same division unless otherwise noted. If siblings have different last names or addresses, please make a note of this. Children of coaches will be on the same team as their parent. All other players will be placed on a team so that talent is spread out equally among the division.
