MES Lacrosse was founded in the fall of 2010 by James Malcom and Dan Malcom. While sharing a passion for the sport of lacrosse, James and Dan came into MES Lacrosse with different backgrounds. James, an accomplished college and professional lacrosse player wanted an opportunity to give something back to the community. Dan, an accomplished coach wanted the opportunity to build a program that represented the best in youth athletics. Their collective experiences, dedication and energy have helped MES Lacrosse become one of the state's best club programs.
Academics, character development and sportsmanship are the foundation of the program. The program has demonstrated an ability to remain focused on the total development of our student athletes while achieving competitive excellence.
MES student athletes, parents and coaches are held to a high standard. As a result, our players flourish in an environment that places their athletic and personal development as a priority. Our parent's represent our club, their team and their son with class. Our coaches excel in an environment free of the negativity that can detract from the youth athletics experience.

Leadership from our coaches is paramount to our past and future success. It is with this understanding that we thoroughly evaluate all members of our staff prior to inviting them to join our club. MES is proud to offer the young men of our club the opportunity to learn the game from coaches with playing experience at the highest levels of collegiate and professional lacrosse as well as coaches with extensive youth coaching backgrounds across many levels of the game. MES Lacrosse doesn't buy into the concept that a Collegiate All-American or current professional player is by default an excellent coach capable of teaching and leading young men. Coaching at the youth level is a unique challenge that requires a tremendous investment of time and energy. Thunder Lacrosse is dedicated to providing our club members an elite coaching staff that values the development of the youth athlete on and off the field.
MES is an instructional based program. We have developed a specific curriculum for each of our age groups designed to accelerate our players skill development and lacrosse IQ. Our style of play is uncommon in today's club world. Unlike many programs we are not a "set play" oriented club. We teach challenging offensive and defensive strategies that are reliant on confident and skilled lacrosse players. MES lacrosse believes this philosophy provides our student athletes the best opportunity to reach their goals of playing at the next level.
Winning is important to MES Lacrosse. We believe winning is the result of self investment, enthusiasm, a competitive spirit and execution. Our student athletes represent this philosophy and have established a reputation as one of the state's best club programs. MES Lacrosse has experienced tremendous success in tournament play and league play. We are committed to competing with the best programs in the country.
Our program is on the verge of unprecedented growth and success but we are prepared. The leadership of the club has built a sustainable organization capable of managing growth while still exceeding our member's expectations. MES Lacrosse is a valued part of the community with the goal of positively impacting the young men of this community for years to come.
MES Lacrosse is about putting the youth athlete and their family first. We compete at the highest levels of club lacrosse and do so with a level of enthusiasm and sportsmanship uncommon in today's youth sports world. We are proud of our history and look forward to our future opportunities.
