All games begin with both teams coming together for prayer, and all games end with a short devotion and prayer.

"...so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory and the power for ever and ever." 1 Peter 4:11

ORIGIN
Two Erie First Assembly of God church softball teams played in a different league for several years, but decided to form a league on the central/west side of Erie (PA) so their games could be played closer to home. In January of 2009, after an exploratory e-mail was sent to 11 area churches to determine interest in becoming a part of a new league, Grace Baptist, First Alliance, and Christ United Methodist responded. In March, Commissioner Mike McCullough from First Alliance Church contacted more area churches and was able to add 3 more churches...Millcreek Community, Walnut Creek Baptist, and Asbury United Methodist. The new Millcreek Modified Christian Softball League was born.

The MMCSL had 7 men's teams in 2019...its 11th season.
