My Fellow Associates,

 

I am humbled and grateful to be elected to lead this most august body, the New York Metropolitan & District Cricket Association. Our league has a long history traceable back to over 132 years.

 

As President, I will endeavor to continue providing the highest quality of cricket competition within the New York Region.

 

From our relative position of where we are today, it is our aim to actively promote the growth of cricket throughout our geographical area; and develop the game to include individuals of all ages and gender, i.e. Youth and Women's Cricket Development.

 

The objectives of our Association is to welcome players of all background and skills; and to foster respect and success by providing a positive and enjoyable cricket experience for all. while developing players, people and partnership within our respective communities.

 

The Executive Committee intends to achieve the objectives by:

·         Providing an environment that encourages achievement, team spirit and sportsmanship

·         Encouraging active participation in the clubs at all levels

·         Assisting players to meet their maximum potential by providing pathways and partnerships

·         Striving to offer the best facilities and coaching available

·         Providing a welcoming and friendly social atmosphere for club members, their families and visitors

·         Ensuring the future of our clubs through proper financial and corporate administration

·         Fostering ongoing relationship and building partnerships within the community and with sponsors

 

Once again I wish to thank you for the confidence you have placed in me. Let us look forward to a great and prosperous cricket season. With your help we will get the job done.
