Eric Wallich- Head Coach Damascus HS
The 2008 season was Coach Wallich's 1st as the head coach of his alma mater, Damascus High School. Wallich is a 1990 graduate of Damascus High School where he played running back and defensive back on the 1989 Maryland State finalist team. From DHS Wallich went on to play running back at Shepherd College and eventually graduated from Towson State University. After beginning his coaching career at Damascus High School for 2 years as a JV coach, Wallich spent the next 5 years at Walt Whitman High School as the Defensive Coordinator before eventually becoming Whitman's Head Coach for 2 seasons. Then in 2007 Wallich moved to Quince Orchard High School as the Offensive Coordinator where he helped lead the team to a 14-0 record and the Maryland 4A State Championship. Wallich became the Head Coach of Damascus High School in May 2008 and has continued leading Damascus to it's Maryland State record setting 18th straight playoff appearance in his first eight seasons. This year the Swarmin' Hornet's were the 3A State Champions and had a perfect 14-0 season finishing 1st in the Washington Post All Met Rankings.
Carl Ehrlich- CO-Director of the Camp
Carl Ehrlich currently runs Big Dawg University which is specialized training for lineman. Carl was an All Met player at Whitman HS and went on the to play defensive line at Harvard University. Carl became the captain of Harvard Football his season year which is a special honor because they only choose one to represent the entire team. After earning is degree Carl went on to play NFL Europe.
Ernie McCook- Offensive Coordinator Shepherd University

Ernie McCook- Offensive Coordinator and O-Line Coach Shepherd University
Entering his 7th season as offensive coordinator and eigth as the offensive line coach at Shepherd is Ernie McCook, who came to Shepherd after serving as the offensive line coach at Frostburg State University.
In 2004 McCook's offense led the WVIAC in scoring offense with a 32.0 average. The Ram offensive line yielded a league-low 11 sacks in 10 games.
In 2001 McCook helped the Rams finish 17th in the nation in scoring offense (36.8). In 2000 Shepherd running back Dalevon Smith led all NCAA II rushers with a 166.1 per game average.In 1999 McCook helped Shepherd finish fifth in the nation in scoring offense (40.2), eighth in rushing offense (277.4), and ninth in total offense (453.3).
Clayton Beard- Stevenson Offensive Line Coach

Clayton Beard- Stevenson College Offensive Line Coach
A two-time All-WVIAC selection at Division II Shepherd, Beard serves as the offensive line coach at Stevenson. In 2012, the Mustangs ranked third in the Middle Atlantic Conference in rushing offense at 201.1 yards per game and 50th out of 240 teams in Division III. They The also allowed just 16 sacks, the fourth-fewest sacks total in the MAC while senior Ricky Congo was named to the All-MAC Second Team.Beard came to Stevenson from St. Anselm College in New Hampshire where he served as the team's offensive line coach and recruiting coordinator. In 2009, he worked as the assistant offensive line coach at Division I Towson under John Donatelli.
Bob Plante- Offensive Line Coach Seneca Valley
Bob Plante- Coach Plante has been the Offensive Coordinator and Offensive Line Coach at multiple schools around Montgomery County. He has spent much of his carer at power house Seneca Valley where he is currently the offensive line coach.
Chuck Oswald- Line Coach Quince Orchard HS

Chuck Oswald- Offensive Line Coach and Offensive Coordinator Sherwood HS
Coach Oswald is the offesnive line coach and Offensive Coordinator at Quince Orchard High School and widely regarded as one of the best offensive line coaches in Montgomery County. QO finished 11-2 this season.
John Kelly- Head Coach Quince Orchard HS

John Kelly- Head Coach Quince Orchard HS
Coach Kelly is currently head coach at Quince Orchard HS. He played defensive line at Seneca Valley where he won 3 state championships. Coach Kelly coach college football at MD. The Quince Orchard Cougars have been to back to back 4A championships in 2011 & 2102 and are one of the top high school programs in Maryland. Last season the cougars lost in the playoffs to Northwest HS who went on to win the 4A state title.
Bob Walko- Seneca Valley Line Coach

Bob Walko is entering his 17 year as an assistant coach in Montgomery County. Walko started his playing career at Windber Area High School in Pennsylvania where he won numerous awards as two way player for the Ramblers. Upon graduation he went to Kent State University in Ohio as a walk on defensive end. Eventually Walko earned an athletic scholarship and became a two year letter winner for the Golden Flashes. After his senior year he was signed as a free agent defensive tackle with the Pittsburgh Steelers. After his release, he returned to his alma matter where he served as a defensive graduate assistant for two years while earning his master’s degree.
His high school coaching stints included Streetsboro Ohio, Wootton, Sherwood, and Seneca Valley. As a defensive coordinator his defenses averaged a stingy 10pts. per game. Bob has 4 state championships under his belt as a defensive line coach and defensive coordinator. He is credited with putting defensive linemen in division 1-A, 1-AA, D-2, and D-3 levels.
Bucky Clipper- Defensive Coordinator Damascus HS

Bucky Clipper- Defensive Coordinator Damascus HS
Coach Clipper is currently the defensive coordinator at Damascus HS. Prior to this he was the offensive line coach at Damascus HS, Northwest HS and Sherwood HS. Coached Clipper helped coach each of these offensive lines to a state cahmpionship.
Dave Mencarini- Head Coach Urbana HS

Coach: Dave Mencarini- Head Coach Urbana HS
Coach Mencarini, Former Head Football Coach at Quince Orchard High School, just completed his 7th year in charge of the QO Cougars and seventh overall at the school. He has compiled an overall record of 52 wins and 9 losses as a head coach. The QO Cougars have made the State playoffs in each of Mencarini's five years at the helm. The QO Cougars won the 4A West Region title in 2007, were runners up in the region in 2005, 2006, and 2008. They won the 4A West Division in 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008 and 2009 under Mencarini’s leadership. The cougars also recently played in back to back 4A state championships in 2011 and 2012. Coach Mencarini teaches Weight Training at Quince Orchard High School. Last season coach Mencarini became the Head Coach of Urbana and let his team to the playoffs in his first season.
Coach Higgins played college football at Salisbury State University. Now he is one of the premeir defensive coaches in the area. He coached on mulitple state championship teams at Seneca Valley as a the defensive line coach and defensive coordinator. Coach Higgins then went to serve as the defensive line coach at Damascus HS the last 4 years. This season Coach Higgins will be coaching at Oakdale HS.
Andy Brown (Sarge)- Former Offensive Line Coach Urbana/ Linganore HS
Coach Brown, aka Sarge, began coaching prior to his retirement from the Army. He has been a member of the staffs of Damascus HS, Thomas Johnson HS, Western Maryland College, Linganore HS, and Urbana HS. During his career he has served primarily as an Offensive Line Coach but has also served as an Offensive Coordinator (LHS 2002-2010), a Special Teams Coordinator (DHS, TJ, and UHS), and Defensive Line Coach. While at Western MD, he was a member of two D-3 playoff teams and Centennial Conference championships. He has appeared in eight state championship games of which five were state champions (DHS, LHS). In 2013, Coach Brown was selected as a member of the Baltimore Touchdown Club's Hall of Fame as an assistant coach.

Coach Burns played defensive line at Elon college and is currently the offensive line coach at Damascus HS.
Tony Edwards

Tony Edwards- Offensive Line Coach Good Counsel HS
Coach Edwards was the former line at Damascus HS during the State Championship teams of 2003, 2005, & 2007. He is widely considered one of the best offensive line coaches in the state of MD. Coach Edwards became the offensive line coach at Good Counsel HS in 2012.
Team Doctor Ellen Smith

Dr Ellen Smith is the team Doctor for Damascus Sports. She has extensive experience in emergency medicine, sports medicine and wilderness/ adventure medicine. Dr. Smith trains physicians in delivery of medical care for remote environments and out of the hospital environments. She has recently trained the White house medical team, filmed a Discovery Channel show about sports endurance, has an article out this month in the Journal of Emergency Medical Services and can be found Friday nights in football season caring for the Hornets on the Damascus Sideline. Dr Smith attends in the Emergency Department at MedStar Montgomery Medical Center where she is the Director of Sports Medicine, she is the Director of Adventure Medicine for MedStar Sports Health and has a private Practice in Sports Medicine located at 18109 Prince Philip Drive, Olney, MD.
