For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God - Romans 3:23

No matter how hard we try or how many good things we do, we all still fail and this is called sin. Because of our sin, we are separated from God - we fall short!

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord - Romans 6:23

The penalty for our sin is death - separation from God and spending eternity in hell. But God gave us a gift. The gift of eternal life - but there is only one way to receive this gift and that is through Jesus Christ - God's only Son

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life - John 3:16

But God commendeth His love toward us, int hat while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. - Romans 5:8

Jesus came and lived a perfect life. This made Him the perfect sacrifice for our sins which He did when He was crucified on the cross. Three days later, He arose from the grave and defeated Satan and our sin. He is waiting for us to believe on Him, believe He died for our sins and that He is the only way to have eternal life.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord

Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath

raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For

with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and

with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. -

Romans 10:9-10
