Northern Stars Hockey School is a hockey school geared towards making you a better player through the improvement of your skill, the continued develepment of your character, and the enhancement of your fitness.
Fitness
With this being said, please be sure to come to the Northern Stars Camp ready to be pushed. It would be a great idea to do some light running and strength exercises prior to the hockey school so that you make the most of your time while at Northern Stars.
What You Need To Bring
In addition to bringing your hockey gear ready to go, plese make sure that you bring water, snacks or money to purchase refreshments at the canteen. It is very important that you remain hydrated through the day. Also, be sure to bring running shoes and clothes for working out in. Please do not bring Crocs or flip-flops to do your off-ice training. Also be sure to bring a stick that you can use for dryland training. It is a good idea to not use your game stick for dryland.
Objective
It is our objective that while you have an enjoyable week, you have a week where you improve. Pick one to three areas where you will really focus on making serious improvements. Some of these areas may include: shooting, skating, puck control, contact, fitness, passing, pass reception or some of the smaller aspects of the game. Set goals and work hard to achieve them.
