Varsity Head Coach

Coach Vleck

Coach Vleck is entering his first season as the Varsity Boys Basketball coach. Previously, Coach Vleck was a t Odyssey for nine seasons including Head Coach for JV (Division Champs)and Lead Assistant on the Varsity team (Section V Champs). In addition, he has coached JV Baseball and Varsity Cross Country at Odyssey.

A graduate of Greece Olympia and Syracuse University. Currently a Physical Education/Health Teacher at Rochester Academy Charter High School in Greece, where is also the Varsity Track and Field Head Coach. He lives in Greece near the Spencerport School District.

Coach Osher

Coach Osher will be entering his first year as the Assistant Varsity Boys Basketball Coach at Spencerport.

Previously, coach Mod B boys basketball for Spencerport. Prior to that he coached the modified team at Pittsford Mendon.  Coaching for over ten years now, he is also a Varsity High School Football Coach as well as a JV Baseball coach.  

Graduating from SUNY Brockport in 2013 with a degree in Physical Education, he is currently a new part-time physical education teacher in the Spencerport District.

 Coach Pursel



Coach Pursel is excited to start his 1st year as our JV coach. He coach 2 years of Mod A Basketball here at Spencerport.

He started coaching basketball at Carthage Central school where he coached at the JV and Modified levels for 4 years.  After Carthage he moved out to Rochester with his family and coached at Webster Schroeder for 2 years.  At Schroeder he coached a season of Frosh and a season of JV.

He earned his Bachelor’s degree in 2008 from Brockport and Master’s degree in 2010 from Canisius in the field of Physical Education.  He is dual certified in Physical Education and Health Education.

Currently, Coach Pursel teaches Physical Education at Taylor Elementary here in Spencerport and also coaches Mod B baseball for Spencerport.

Coach Somers

Coach Somers is a Physical Education Teacher in the Spencerport School District. She attended SUNY Brockport where she earned her Bachelor and Masters' degrees in Physical Education. She was a four year member of their Women's Basketball Teams, three year member of Softball, and 1 year member of soccer. She was a three year Basketball Captain, four time first team ALL_SUNYAC selection, first year Player of the Year, and SUNYAC Player of the year, and many other Division III honors. She was an Assistant Basketball Coach in Brockport, and has also coached lacrosse, softball, and soccer and the scholastic level.

Coach Marchaesi

Coach Matt Marchaesi is in his second year in the Spenceport School District. This year he is located at Munn Elementary School teaching physical education. A few years back in the Greece Central School District he coached modified basketball for two seasons. Coach Marchaesi still currently plays basketball every week in Spencerport and has past playing experience in high school.

In addition to basketball, he just finished his third year as the head varsity girls volleyball coach at Churchville-Chili. In the spring Coach Marchaesi is the coach for modified girls' lacrosse.
