Coach Ian Heisel has just concluded his 18th season as the Head Varsity Baseball Coach of the Walsingham Academy Trojans. During that time he has led the Trojans to unprecented success including winning the last 7 consecutive VISAA State Championships. Coach Heisel has over 15 years of instructional experience. He works with ages ranging from 7 – 22 years old and will personalize each lesson according to skill and experience.
Coaching Experience:
- 18 years as Head Coach of the Walsingham Academy Trojans with a career record of 231-62-2
- 7x VISAA Division III State Champions (2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025)
- TCIS Conference Champions (2021)
- 6x VISAA Division III Coach of the Year
- 2x Coach for the Michael Cuddyer All-Tidewater Classic All Star Game
- Coach for Virginia Baseball Coaches Association (VBCA) All Star Game
- VBCA Convention Presenter (2019)
- Has sent over 35 players to the collegiate and professional levels during his tenure at Walsingham Academy.
