Q: Is it possible to see a list of who has signed up ?
A: No.
Q: If I wish to golf with a specific person or group of people, can I request that?
A: Yes. We've included a separate box on the sign up form just for this purpose.
Q: Can I see my own registration form?
A: No. But an automatic confirmation will be sent to the email address you enter on the sign up form.
Q: Can anybody play in this tournament?
A: Registrants must be :
a) turning 50 this year, or already be over 50
b) must have worked at Mutual Life, The Mutual Group, Clarica or Sun Life Financial.
It is open to both men and women.
Golfing skill is not a requirement.

Q: I heard that everyone may not receive a prize?
A: This is true. Depending on enrollment , we will do our best to ensure everyone receives a prize, but limited funding / donations and a large enrollment may result in some people not getting one. Prizes are awarded at random and are not based on skill / performance. We want the focus of the day to be on comradery and social mingling - not prizes.
Q: Are we playing normal golf rules?
A: Yes. Each foursome will play regular golf rules (keeping score is optional). We do not care how poorly you golfed or how well you cheated :)
Q: Will there be special prizes (eg. closest-to-the-pin, worst drive)?
A: Yes.
Q: What happens if it rains that day?
A: Regardless of the weather you must show up at the requested time. The decision to cancel will be made at the golf course on that day with all golfers present. Refunds and rain checks will be discussed at that point. The dinner will still be on and will likely be moved earlier in the day rather than be at the original expected time.
Q: Are there refunds if I have to cancel?
A: Possibly. There is a minimum number of participants that we need to maintain, to secure the price we are paying. If you cancel more than a week before the event and we will still have the minimum number or greater of participants, we will consider a refund.
If you cancel with less than a week to go, we still have to pay for you so there will be no refund under any circumstances.
Q: Can I purchase some lunch before we tee off ?
Yes. You can purchase things like sandwiches in the club house. Rockway is within the Kitchener city limits so there are many places to grab a fast lunch on the way to the course.
Q: Is it true that I can just golf or just dine (not both)?
A: No. There is no provision for "just golfing" or "just eating". The golf course assumes a certain amount of golf and dining business when establishing the price we are charged.
