We participated in Lions Youth Basketball last year (or previous years). Do we still need to register? Yes.

Why do we have to register this year? I don't remember having to do that last year? This covers our responsibilities with both our league and the use of AMHS facilities for our program.

What happens after tryouts? After tryouts have been completed, our coaching staff will discuss the team formations and player assignments. All participants will be notified of their standings and what to expect next.

What is the participation fees involved in playing for Lions Youth Basketball? All players posted after tryouts will be notified of league fees. (In the previous years, fees have been about $200 per player). League fees cover the cost of facility use, game officials, practice jersey, and other league fees. Additionally, each player is required to register for an AAU membership ($14 per player) which essentially covers league liability. Some coaches may choose to enter their teams into other tournaments that that other LYB teams might not participate in. More information will be sent out to parents after tryouts.
