Sportsmanship at all times is promoted between players, coaches and fans. Cursing, boasting, taunting, rough play (including hard fouling) WILL NOT tolerated. At the referees discretion, if a player(s) acts in a way that does not promote play in a positive way, the referee can eject or have the player(s) sit for awhile until the player(s) actions have subsided.
Each player should be stretched out and ready to play 15 minutes prior to game time.
Pregame Activites:
Free throw and 3 point shootouts will be held before each game with the exception of championship night.
Length of game:
Each game will consist of 2 20 mintue halves with a running clock.
The clock will stop the last two minutes of the second half.
Each player will play at least 20 minutes per game.
*NOTE IF THE HEAT AND HUMIDITY BECOMES HAZARDOUS THE REFEREE(S) WILL TAKE TIMEOUTS EVERY 5 MINUTES FOR THE SAFETY OF THE PLAYERS.
Overtime:
If the game is tied after the end of regulation, there will be a two minute overtime with no running clock.
Timeouts:
There will be 3 full timeouts per game.
In the event of overtime, each team will get 1 timeout per overtime. Timeouts DO NOT carry over from regulation or from over time to over time.
Defense:
First half 2-3 zone defense.
Second half, teams will play "man to man".
No full court press allowed until the last two minutes of the game.
*If the temperature or humidity is high/ shortage of players the teams can elect to play zone the whole game
Foul Shooting:
Each shooting foul will be 1 foul shot. For example,if fouled while shooting a two pointer,if you make the free throw then you get the other point automatically. If shooting a "3 pointer", you make the three throw then you would get all 3 automatically. Last minute of the second half fouls will result in a one and one.
Fouls:
Nobody fouls out,but with that in mind,if a player on your team consistantly fouls or hard fouls another, then it is the coaches responsibility to sit that player as you would if the five foul rule would be enforced.
Shortage of players:
If your team doen't have enough players to field a team of 5,then the coach can pick a player off another team to field the maximum team of 5 players. Coaches use discretionon choosing players, you should choose a player who has the same skill talent of the player that is absent.
