About our Fall Ball Season

Fall Ball is a great way for softball players to keep up their skills or for players who are interested in trying Fast Pitch Softball for the first time. Teams will play double headers on Sundays for six weeks during September and October, weather permitting, playing at various locations throughout the southern and western suburbs. Games are played competitively, but the primary focus of Fall Ball is to allow girls to play in an instructional setting while developing their skills in preparation for the following season. Coaches are encouraged to emphasize player development in a competitive but fun atmosphere.

Age qualification is determined based on your daughter’s age as of January 1st of the current calendar year. We would encourage experienced players to play the level they will play come next spring; while new players should play the level that corresponds their current age level. If you are not sure which level to sign up for based on your daughter’s level of experience, then talk to our commissioner or one of our coaches.

8U – Must be 8 years or younger as Jan 1st playing year
10U – 9 or 10 as of Jan 1st
12U – 11 or 12 as of Jan 1st
14U – 13 or 14 as of Jan 1st
16/18U - 15 or older as of Jan 1st

Can I play Fall Ball if I have never played Fastpitch before?

The fall is great time for those players who are interested in trying fastpitch before committing to a full Spring/Summer Season. Feel free to talk to our commissioner regarding any of your concerns.

I want to play for my middle school in the fall. Can I still play Fall Ball?

The short answer is yes. If you are unsure, your best option is to contact your middle school coach. While Panthers would love to encourage every girl to play, we do not want to jeopardize your middle school eligibility.
