- 2Nd, 3RD, & 4th grade will be running clock until last 2 minutes of each half.
1. No game will start before scheduled time without notification of both coaches; however, games will start early if ALL players and head coach is present and have had the required time allotted for warmup.
2. All teams should arrive a minimum of 20-30 minutes prior to scheduled game time.
3. Score sheets must be filled out and printed prior to start of game. If score sheets are not filled out the bench will receive a technical. (www.tennesseemiracle.com)
4. NO MUSIC ALLOWED IN GYM.
Coaching Attire
· All coaches must wear polo shirts or team issued gear.
Timeouts
· 3-Full
· 2-3O Seconds
1. 5 second count will be in effect
2. 10 second backcourt will be in effect
3. Home team will be listed first.
4. Bench personnel is limited to 3 people (i.e. coaches, bookkeeper, trainer)
5. Boy’s 6th grade and up will play with a 29.5 size basketball.
Fouls
· 5 Fouls
· Technical Fouls count as personal fouls
· Bonus Fouls is in effect on the 7th foul; Double bonus on 10th
· Flagrant Foul- Two technical fouls during a game will result in ejection from the game and the next game of the tournament.
· Coach- If a coach receives a technical all coaches must remain seated for the remainder of the game.
· A player can be ejected from a game without warning if necessary
Free Throw
· 6 players in the lane (4 defensive 2 offensive + shooter)
· Players must line up above the block
· Players enter on release
· ALL AGES shoot from 15 ft. ·
2ND& 3RD grade must start behind the free throw line but can cross while shooting.
Mercy Rule:
Once a team is leading by 20 points anytime during the game, the clock will continue to run. The clock will only stop for timeouts and injuries. If the lead falls below 10 points, the clock will stop for all whistles.
Player Ejection
If a player is ejected from the game they cannot play the following game. If they are ejected in 2 games they cannot play the remainder of the tournament. (We reserve the right to modify any disciplinary action to more or less severe if deemed appropriate depending on evidence and circumstances.)
Tie-Breaker
· 2 Teams Tied: Head-to-Head
· Points differential.
· 3 or more teams: Point system (+15/-15).
o If two team’s points are tied, then back to head-to-head.
o If three teams are still tied, the most points allowed in ALL pool play games.
Protest
All roster protest must be filed in writing and accompanied by a $100.00 protest fee (refundable in the protest is valid) with the Tournament Director within 1 hour of the conclusion of the protested game. If the protest is valid, the protested team forfeits the game. Upon protest, teams must provide proof of eligibility. Tournament Directors rulings are final.
Roster Rules
1. Proof of age is required for all players on roster (birth certificates, report card of current school year). Teams are required to have proof of age and grade throughout the tournament. It must be presented to US Amateur Basketball representative/tournament director upon request.
2. No roster additions will be permitted after the team has begun play.

Head coaches are responsible for the conduct of their bench personnel, players, parents, and fans. Unruly fans may or may not be warned before being asked to leave the gym if they cannot conduct themselves in a controlled manner. The officials can site the bench with a technical foul for unruly, out of control fan behavior. If a parent of a player is asked to leave the gym for uncontrolled behavior the player can also be ejected from the game. Coaches please advise your coaches, players, parents, and fans of these rules. If any damage is incurred at the schools during an altercation it will be the financial responsibility of the team. We appreciate your cooperation through the years for making this tournament successful and enjoyable for all people involved.
Coaches must wear coach’s wristbands at all times to enter gyms. Coach’s & Parents weekend pass wristbands are valid ONLY if they have not been removed. Please emphasize to parents if they are removed from wrist in any way they WILL NOT be honored.
**ALL COACHES PLEASE ADVISE YOUR PARENTS OF THE RULE BELOW**
If ANY PARENT walks onto the floor at any point during a game for ANY reason will be automatically escorted out of the gym unless requested to come to the court by a referee due to injury to a player. If your child is injured DO NOT go onto the court without permission from referee. This is not open for discussion as to why you were on the court, it will be automatic ejection. If a parent is removed a second time during the course of a tournament the player will be removed also at that time. Referee has no power to not eject or reinstate player. Parents help us to keep your child safe and playing by staying off the court.
